Love this series

Perfect ending to the Gastro Thief series. The stories are clever and so entertaining. Albert and Rex are now my favorite detectives.

Love the Storyline!

I love the writing style and wit of Steve Higgs writing! His character, Albert Smith is so intelligent and rational that I enjoy his intellect. I could strangle his dog Rex for a number of his antics but, Albert is a more forgiving dog owner than I.  I’m glad he found Rex to keep him company in his later years. The plot twists are creative and fun. I truly enjoyed the comeuppance of a certain police character near the end of the series whom I won’t mention! My husband and I both recommend Steve Higgs books, we’ve purchased every written and audible series he’s selling. Good, clean (with very few naughty bits) fun! As a side note, we love the book’s narrator!

It all comes together.

I absolutely loved this series. There were times in some of the books that I kind of wondered why there were so many different characters, and in fact actually started getting bored in some, but I'm so glad I kept going. It all comes together in book fourteen. When you read the series, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This series is so fun and so clever and I just love all of the different characters and of course Rex is the best.

This is my second time through this series, and it won’t be my last. It checks all the boxes for me: engaging characters, exciting storyline, funny moments, and an overarching sense of good vs evil, love of family and friends, and the special relationship between a remarkable man and his extraordinary dog.

I listened to the entire series and it was amazing. Talk about persistence tenacity and new friendships. The ending was a fantastic surprise. Love this series. I want to be Albert Smiths friend and join him on an adventure.

Rex and Albert make a fun pair and I e really enjoyed this series. They are a great escape from reality. Can’t wait for the next book!
