Everyone has to read this book!!!

I read the 1st edition of this book before I listened to it. I was so enthralled and intrigued from the opening into this world the author has created called The Four Myths! From the opening the author did such a magnificent job of describing the characters and the narrator did outstanding work with all the different accents and emotions conveyed in the author's dialogue. Yes this does have a National Treasure, Indiana Jones and The Stand type of vibe, any objections? I think not, I mean who wouldn't want to be pulled into a world where good and evil collide into a battle for humanity??? Not only is this book utterly entertaining and fascinating, it makes the reader look inward and even self reflect on one's self. This is more than a book, this a life lesson that we all must learn, or else we are all going to turn to dust.

Thank you so much to the author for this escape from reality??? Also a very big thank you to the narrator who should be given very high praise for such a daunting task to perform such great dialogue that gave me an even more of an entrance to the author's world. Once more to the author, now, I feel clean.

A good story with a quirky narration style

When I say the narration is quirky I don’t mean the voice actor, who did a phenomenal job. The author breaks all sorts of rules in novel writing including apparently the fourth wall when addressing the reader directly. He also has a fondness for mangling metaphors which is sometimes funny but sometimes annoying and distracting. If you can put up with that it’s a fun story with interesting characters.

Captivating

I’m not much of a reader so it’s difficult to get me to finish or even start a book but this book was a lot of fun. Great character development (Randy’s the best). I liked the broken timeline aspect of the book because I know how difficult that is to do like the movie Momento. All leads to a great fight at the end with an unexpected twist.

Great Book!!!!

Brilliantly written. Makes you think the entire time. The thought that it could be true is scary. This will have you questioning yourself in the end. The narrator was excellent. Easy to listen to, enjoyable, and the voices made it very entertaining. Looking forward to the next book.

Great Twist on Post-Apocalyptic Fiction

I recently received a free audio copy of The Four Myths, and quickly dove in. Despite it's length (16 hours) I binged the book over the course of a week. I'm generally a fan of end-of-the-world fiction, and The Four Myths did not disappoint. The recipe of a little Indiana Jones mixed with a little supernatural made for a really interesting listen, While there are multiple plot lines, the author did a great job of making each interesting in its own way, and ultimately weaving them all together. My only minor complaint was that the book ended abruptly (no spoilers), but as I thought more about it, I think the ending was perfect for the story. Get set to enjoy the ride!

One Book You Really Need To Read

If you want a really good read, that rewards the time you invested with dividends this is that read.
A rush of freshness that gives the reader new perspectives in a genre that usually does not veer away from the routine end of world apoplectic view of humanity faced with extinction.
The Four Myths indulges the reader with character involvement that makes you care enough to make time to read/listen and follow every nuance, lead, clue, warning and discovery along the way.
The Four Myths is all in from the very first words you hear from master narrator Ed Romanoff. He gives voice to every character in a way that makes him just as much a part of the book as each intriguing character.
Everything in this story is a part of the story the book, itself, is a part of the story, each character and their relationship to the Myths, and the epic journey we join is a part of the story and yes, I became a part of the story myself, when I found myself using quotes and referring to life lessons learned along the way through The Four Myths.
Hats off to Robert Reisler for a story well told, and thanks for involving us. I have read and beginning my re/read with this recommendation. Read/listen and be rewarded. You heard it from me Will Williams follow me on Instagram @masterbarberwms

disappointing....

I'm sooo glad I finish this book! I like to give a book a chance to get better but no! The narrator is awful and so is the story. whoever compared it to The Stand by Stephen King is so wrong.

Could not finish

The plot is convoluted and and nonsensical. The writing style is verbose and unnecessary. The author could have used 1/3 of the words, and still made the same point. It truly reads as if the author has never read a novel.
