Recommend For History Fans and New-to-Subject Fans

With thorough biographies of the Founding Fathers, this includes George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton and Benjamin Franklin. The author doesn't rush, and takes 8-10 chapters per Founding Father. The chapters are well organized, and detailed, evaluating their backgrounds. We get information on their childhoods, younger years, family life, military careers and experiences, and more, before the author moves on to discuss the post-military lives of each which led to their Presidency. We also get descriptions of their retirement years, and deaths.

As somebody who does not remember much of what I used to know about the Founding Fathers and Presidents, I found this book incredibly informative in a way that wasn't rushed, but plenty detailed, flowed well, and was also easy to understand and follow.

I would absolutely recommend this for anyone who has interest in the subject of History, or would like to refresh their knowledge and add to it!

Excellent book - 4 biographies in 1 book

I really enjoyed this book. It delves deep into the lives of four of America’s founding fathers - George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Hamilton and Benjamin Franklin. Kept me engaged the entire audiobook, where many long books like this would put me to sleep. I also liked how it explained what was socially acceptable back then (slavery, lack of womens rights, white supremacy ideology). Kennedy was sensitive of this as part of US history and emphasizes to the reader that these ideals are no longer accepted. This is how history should be delicately handled. Fantastically written and enjoyable.
