Having been born in the English colony of Massachusetts in 1735, he not only witnessed a new nation emerging from the shell of infancy, but he also participated in its growing pains. Adams was a man who was frequently asked to assume roles in which he had little experience, like that of a diplomat to France and England. In a sense, he was a part of the vanguard that the government had thrown into the fray.

Just a recitation of facts
The book is incredibly boring. There is no sense of the founding fathers as people. There is no analysis, just a stream of facts in chronological order in gruesome detail.

A poor treatment
The book is a set of books about several founding fathers. It is filled with bad historical information that is false or misrepresented. The performances are very bad filled with mispronounced words and repeated misinformation. I would not recommend at all and I listened to the entire thing.

if you want a book that gives you an accurate look at these 18th century figures, walk on by this one. there are so many inaccuracies, I don't know where to start. and what worries me even more are the ones that I invariably missed. 0/10, would trash again
