River is a BA!!

River is a bad a$$!! So much action and suspense packed into this last book! Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, I was proved so wrong. I laughed, I was on the edge of my seat, I cried. River’s armature Mafia Queen internal monologue had me laughing so hard! I can’t say anything else without spoiling it. It was so good!

Kallestra Spencer (River), Sean Masters (Marco), and Ryan Lee Dunlap (Enzo) narrate this book! I loved having Ryan back in the series! I am enjoying the heck out of listening experience!

Love it!

The conclusion to River's story. This was really good and entertaining. It continues from #5. This is not a standalone all 5 are linked together. There is a lot going on in this one that makes it interesting. You have mafia business, truths revealed and discovered, deaths, birth, family issues, backstabbing, lies, punishments, tragedy. I listened and enjoyed it.

This was such a perfect ending to this series. River was such a freaking bad a m f and I absolutely adored her journey to forever.

This one had some twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat and the ending was so bittersweet as we lost some friends but got a new baby to enjoy. My emotions were alllll over the place for sure.

The audio was fantastic. Sean Masters, Kalestra Spencer and Ryan Lee Dunlap all did a wonderful job with these characters and I loved this listen. Thank you so much to Pink Flamingo for the advanced copy!

Poignant and Fitting

This is the final installment of the series and boy, is it a doozy. I'll be upfront about the darkness, it is 100% present. Some things are predictable and expected based on where the last book left off and the general tone of the series, but there are a couple of things that really get to me. They don't gut me, but it is close.

I do love River Rose Fox Volpe Mancini's spirit. She is fierce and a survivor through and through. Her pairing with Marco Mancini works in unexpected ways. I love them together!

Please do check your triggers for this series. There's light and humor, but there's also frequent, very descriptive dark elements that you should beware.

This series really needs to be read in order. The storyline builds with every book and references to earlier ones are often. Also, this is more HFN than HEA with the door being left open for spinoff series.

I listened to the book before reading along with the audio. The narrators, Sean Masters, Ryan Lee Dunlap, and Kallestra / Kalestra Spencer (I cannot definitively confirm which spelling is correct, and it's driving me crazy), continue to do a great job with this series. 🎧🩷🎧

First book of this series I've listened to and I definitely will be looking into more of this series. It was absolutely what I love about dark mafia romance! I probably should have read the rest of this series first as it'd give you some more context but honestly, I followed along well enough I was hanging on every word. I probably got spoilers by starting at the end but it's fine! River is a baddie who is fitting for the mafia queen position even if she's unsure about it. Marco is alpha and everything you'll be swooning for in a dark romance. There are a lot of side characters that I want to know more about hence why I will be going back to start with book 1. I'm really glad I found this author.
