Having been transported to the world of Tannis, separated from everything they know, the Ninth find themselves caught amidst an ancient war of the gods.

Digs a bit deep into the faith in Jupiter thing
Mildly interesting at first, but subsequent books get too faith-oriented for my taste. The writing seems sophomoric, and the narration doesn't help.
Way too much bickering and distrust between species.

lost me...
Saddly this book was terribly disapointing. First book was a page turner, then all the religious crap ruined the story... I wish i had not purchased this one or the next.
