Publisher's Summary

Based on interviews with today's cutting-edge scientists, investigative journalist Lynne McTaggart wrote The Field, a compelling presentation of the theory that there is a measurable "life force" in the universe. Now, in this original audio adaptation by the author, McTaggart takes listeners on a journey into this exciting arena of science, called the "Zero-Point Field", that could be the key to understanding "supernatural" forces, healing energy, and the nature of consciousness.

Offering a challenging new vision of the future, and insights on how this science can immediately affect our own lives, here is a unique opportunity to hear Lynne McTaggart as she unveils the mysteries, discoveries, and wonder of The Field.

Easy Listen

I've studied the concepts of the Field now for years, and find that Lynn has come the closest to weaving together all these difficult scientific quantum theories into a coherent whole field of knowledge. It spawned her Intention experiment, and is based on solid science. It takes mystical works from the past and cast them in a new light, making these concepts easy to digest. I'll listen to it more than once because it is useful information for daily life.

Confirmed Skeptic - changed my mind!

If you are a confirmed skeptic of metaphysics this is the book for you!

I’ve read “the Secret” and other accounts of the pure powers of human intention and universal conscious with curiosity. I think we all long to understand more about our place in the universe and our influence, and there are no shortage authors that will sell books about this with no proof.

This book is different, author does detail metaphysical phenomenon beyond the bounds of current science, each topic the author carefully documents with academic sources and verifiable research scientific data.

I highly recommend this book its short and it may give the skeptic in you the evidence you need to open your mind to the wonders of the things we don’t know about the universe and our influence over it.

Interesting discussion, not the actual book.

My wife read the book "The Field" and told me I would enjoy it. I downloaded this recording thinking it was the actual book on tape. Instead, it's Lynne McTaggart giving a 2 hour summary of what's in the book. (I see now that it's categorized as a speech, not an audiobook.)

The recording doesn't sound like she's reading at all, but instead sounds like she is actually talking to you (which is what I love about Tony Robbins tapes). This is a very interesting and informative recording, and as far as I can tell, you get all of the highlight of the book condensed down to two hours.

As for content, McTaggart describes the work of scientists all over the world who have conducted controlled experiments on the ability of your thoughts to influence matter, including machines and diseases. It's almost as if they are discovering the science behind successful prayer or why goals (intention) matter. The studies of spiritual healing done by people who never even meet the sick person, plus the experiments with water memory, are fascinating.

disappointing

I thought this was the text of the book, but it's just the author talking about the text of the book.

I was expecting more

I think it fell short on more conclusive evidence and a big piece of the personal strong testimonial was missing.

Needs a different thumbnail pic than the full book

I accidentally purchased his thinking it was the full-length book because I had no idea the author recorded a two-hour, super-condensed version of her book. I wouldn’t spend money on this; I’d recommend just buying her full-length book or audio book instead.

Excellent listen

The narrator is very easy to listen to and the story gives an excellent insight into why things are the way they are. I highly recommend it to people who need to know the science behind it

Interesting

An interesting read into the relationship between new and old science. The book looks at how long held scientific ideas have come to perhaps hold back new emerging ideas into quantum physics. Lyn Mctaggart takes a journey with the reader and explores the quantum field.
This may challenge those set in their ideas!

Not The Actual Book

What would have made The Field better?

It's very interesting but it is not clear that you don't get the whole book, just a very condensed version. I wish I have bought the physical book now.

Get this!

I was initially put off by one review saying it wasn't the full book, but I was intrigued and so I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did. enjoyable, intelligent and provocative. I'm definitely going to try the follow-up work.

Amazing story, I mean research. Hard to believe. A good translation of what is going on in the world of science.

It is like magic. You can believe it or not. But this no magic, it is eve dance proofed technology. There are also a lot of tedtalks and YouTube video’s about from scientific based research. But still it is spooky like Einstein called it. An electron, a partial or a wave, it depends.
Good explanation of strange fields like zero field and the memory of water. Thank you Lynne.

Superb book on a subject everyone should be aware of.

Lynne’s book is full of excellent research about an amazing overlooked phenomenon. Nikola Tesla said the energy was in the ether years ago. We are all connected through it.

DON'T BE FOOLED - THIS IS NOT THE FULL BOOK

This is a highly abridged version of the full book - I have both and wanted to listen to the book on the go so bought the narrated book in addition to the physical one. This version only has 2 chapters and is only 2 hours long. The actual book has TWELVE chapters. Buy the physical book if you want the full version. This is fine if you only want a summary of the content.

Brilliant!

I loved how Lynne had broken some very complex quantum physics principles down into very easily understood concepts, and then being able to link it all together in a way that makes it very easy to see the complete picture for what it all means.
One of the limitations our need as a collective for “scientific” based evidence on how everything works is that there’s a tendency to divide things out, and study them at increasingly smaller and smaller levels, and define them as separate particles or concepts or entities. This creates a situation where science cannot explain everything, but because of the small pieces of the puzzle that it HAS explained, we lose sight of how everything is connected and affects everything else. Just because science can’t yet explain it, doesn’t mean it isn’t real, and this book is an eye opening delve into exactly how everything truly IS connected, and how things like energy healing, telepathic powers, and all the “woo woo” stuff (that humans who don’t understand it have crucified other humans who DO “get it” for over the years) actually works.
Thanks for a great listen!

Must Read (Listen)

Lynne, hersef takes you through this amazing material which, if accurate (and personal experience suggests it is), changes completely our relationships with each other, ourselves and the world around us. As Mike Dooley says, "Thoughts become things" and this book supports this with scientic studies that explain how this can be.

Loved it. Try to live it. Got along way to go, however. 😁

A beginner’s intro to consciousness philosophy

Written by a journalist, this is a collection of data gathered from various scientists & philosophers on the topic of consciousness. This just skims the surface & does not go into any great detail.

Very thought provoking

Very interesting. I love authors and books like these that make you rethink all your previous beliefs and want to find out more.

An over all great summary of new discoveries that have not yet been acknowledged by science or the medical field and other concepts and theories that sound very exciting but require further research and development. I now want to know more. I was disappointed when the book finished so can’t wait to download Lynne’s other books.
Enjoy

The Field

Love the genre and as Lyn said, she isn't a scientist but her delivery was full of odd pauses and there was no real production. So it wasn't a podcast or a book, more a fireside chat.
