Publisher's Summary

"I thought things would change when I found the others. We would stop running. We would fight the Mogadorians. And we would win.

"But I was wrong. Even though we have come together, we barely escaped from the Mogadorians with our lives. And now we're in hiding, trying to figure out our next move.

"The six of us are powerful - but we're not yet strong enough to take on their entire army. We haven't discovered the full extent of our Legacies. We haven't learned to work together. And there's still so much that we don't know about the Elders or their plan for us. Time is running out, and there's only one thing we know for certain: We need to find Number Five before they do.

"They caught Number One in Malaysia. Number Two in England. And Number Three in Kenya. I am Number Four. I was supposed to be next. But I'm still alive.

"This battle is far from over."

Neil is close to ruining this.

A really fun story, if you ignore the writing style and focus on the story, that is on the borderline for me. Neil Kaplan's voice characterizations are so painful. This story would be so much better if he stuck with the Number 4 voice.
Sam sounds like a nerd with a permanently stuffed up nose. The girl voices are so very bad. Number 8 isn't done well but it's the least painful of his characterizations. Number 9 growls more than talks. It's a rough go when Neil is reading...but the other narrators do a great job.

now the author is just stringing us along...

Yes, more Guard, more legacies, more mogadorian encounters. Reunions & teenage attractions ...
But honestly, books in this series are too short & could have easily been combined. Unsure if Im willing to keep shelling out cash & credits for small pieces of pie, and not close to the series's 'ending'.
Oh, great performances from the narrators! They actually kept me listening. Great job.

Cash Grab Series

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Maybe, if they don't care about their money

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The story is interesting, they just need to get on with it. The title made it too predictable.

Did the narrators do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Some yes, some no. None of them were terrible, but there a little sub-par to many of the other audiobooks I have.

Was The Fall of Five worth the listening time?

Yes, just not the money. The last two books should have been combined as one book as they are short and fluffy.

Any additional comments?

I like the story - but the books are way too short for full price. I think Pitacus Lores legacy is the ability to string along a concise series into as many books as they can get away with.

Great book but

Without spoiling anything I am just disappointed at the trust and the compassion. This is war. There is little room for compassion. On to the next book-hoping that those big hearts get some luck.

F-bomb warning!

too much profanity and a few F-bombs. worse than previous books. too bad author resorted to such mindless, un-clever word selection.

Please fire Neil Kaplan

Akim is a pleasure to listen to and marisol is tolerable. But, Neil has the most obnoxious voices for each character. I wish he would just read the book!! He will go from whispering one moment and screaming or doing a ridiculous voice the next. If he narrates the next book... I’m done. I like to play a book to help me fall asleep and he just wakes me up with his ridiculous voices. I won’t listen to another book he narrates

why 3 readers?

Gets confusing when picturing characters having 3 different people give their version of that character.

Great but dragged in the middle

The story was good but not as great as the others it seemed things went from fast paced to slowly dragging to being fast paced. The beginning and ending were great but the middle of the story seemed to drag like it did in book 2 with Marina for most of the story.
