The evil henchman has his orders to bring back Su Lin and re-instate Master Po in her defining role as the founder of the Chinese Cyber Warfare College to help leaders there finalize their cryptocurrency ambition. Julie’s CATS team dispatches Mercedes to the farm to protect Su Lin and her husband. Colonel Guano uses all his resources to outsmart the protection and takes Su Lin to China. She plays her role well to the point you wonder which side she is on.

Jacob, Petra, and Quip keep tabs on the opportunistic cryptocurrency swindlers as well as other digital currency players. This team discovers more about one another as they learn that the R-Group‘s dynamics are about to change. Who will take charge and who will fall short?

Captivating Financial Thriller

Breakfield and Burkey take topics from today’s headlines and show the terrifying side of it.  Through their magnificent storytelling abilities and their knack to take often misunderstood or unknown financial and technology-based possibilities and create a captivating tale involving the R-Group.  Combining past and present, Breakfield and Burkey creatively develop the storyline that will leave their listeners on the edge of their chairs as the R-Group attempts to foil the evildoers. 

The past plays a heavy hand in this book as we see how Master Po’s unbreakable cryptocurrency code affects her life now as well as Wolfgang’s role in the establishment of the R-Group in the beginning. 

Not only did this book put the fear of technology deep into my head but it left me in tears.  There were several moments that made my eyes water and my heart heavy but there were just as many moments where I pumped my fist in the air.   Comeuppance can be such a delightful thing to hear! 

Derek Shoales performed the audiobook realistically and with a passion that one felt the emotional pain of Jacob, Frank and Su Lin.  Shoales has a solid voice and a talent that takes the listener further into the story.  One can visualize the characters much easier through Shoales.  I enjoy listening to him perform.

There were no issues with the publication or quality of this audiobook.

Crypto caper thrill ride

Well that was the last book in the series for me to read, 11 books as of writing review. This last crypto caper thrill ride brings back together the R Group and CATS Team for an exciting adventure for world nation firsts with cryptocurrency as they compete to become the standard and the Chinese, USA and Venezuelans battle it out in twists and turns reviving Sue Lin to her past life and saying goodbye to Wolfgang.

Breakfield and Burkey make a fast paced action packed thriller just the right length and out do themselves again. This narrator one day I hope to meet because he has more voices in his head that he can keep straight than anyone I know and he narrates consistently with drama and identifiable voices. I wonder if he meets with all the characters voices in his head each morning like the authors do? Likely another great book there too!

Massive Rollercoaster!

What a ride! So much happens in this story! There's tons of action, lots of emotional upheaval, and even some moral quandaries. In the end, I was satified by the results and left really wanting the next book! Looking forward to finding out the results of the discussion at the end.
