The evil henchman has his orders to bring back Su Lin and re-instate Master Po in her defining role as the founder of the Chinese Cyber Warfare College to help leaders there finalize their cryptocurrency ambition. Julie’s CATS team dispatches Mercedes to the farm to protect Su Lin and her husband. Colonel Guano uses all his resources to outsmart the protection and takes Su Lin to China. She plays her role well to the point you wonder which side she is on.

Jacob, Petra, and Quip keep tabs on the opportunistic cryptocurrency swindlers as well as other digital currency players. This team discovers more about one another as they learn that the R-Group‘s dynamics are about to change. Who will take charge and who will fall short?

The Future Has an Owner

I liked how the novel blends financial innovation, espionage, and strategy without ever losing its momentum. The conflicts are believable and relevant. Derek Shoales brings enough energy to keep the reader engaged throughout the entire adventure.

The story raises interesting questions about trust, technology, and economic control. Beyond the action, I found thought-provoking insights. Shoales offers a solid interpretation that complements the plot’s development well.

The Value of Control

The plot explores who will dominate the economic future once traditional currencies are a thing of the past. I especially enjoyed the unexpected twists and shifting alliances. The narrator makes the story easier to follow. I loved it from start to finish.

This book unfolds like a game of chess, where every move has far-reaching consequences. The tension builds steadily as the characters try to outmaneuver one another. The narration is smooth and a pleasure to listen to.
