Bish is the land of constant strife and turmoil. The rise and fall of the blazing suns make the days long and the people disagreeable. Its barren Outlands are as comforting as a bed of thorns as there is little sanctuary to be found in the sweltering forests or the dank caves below the ground. Its caviling cities are overrun with death, greed, and corruption, but few complain. It is a place where tempers flare and alliances last as long as a tankard of ale. A place where good doesn't thrive, it endures.

So good i brought it twice!
Would you consider the audio edition of The Enemy of an Enemy to be better than the print version?
Yes, only because the characters and planets have some crazy names and I enjoy hearing them read out loud. :)
What other book might you compare The Enemy of an Enemy to and why?
The other lost tales series books, each one gets better and better!
What does Jack de Golia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He does an amazing job bringing a ton of emotions to his reading, which enriches the whole story experience.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Harry potter meets star trek lol...... or magical wizards, other worldly creatures, adventures and battles combine to bring you the ultimate sci-fi adventure
Any additional comments?
I purchased the paper copy of this book a few years ago and loved it, so I was so excited to see they were creating an audio version. I just had to buy it again, and it doesn't disappoint Jack does a great job reading it with such enthusiasm and emotions it really brings the story to a whole new level! You need to get this book you won't be disappointed it's filled with sci-fi action and magical adventures that will make wish you where there.

My first audio book and I'm hooked!
If you could sum up The Enemy of an Enemy in three words, what would they be?
Captivating, Enticing, Intriguing.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Enemy of an Enemy?
The acceptance of the rings of wizards, first by Vydor, then by Kellyn saying, "I stand by you , Vydor." Followed by the other five wizards each picked up a ring and said, "I am a Black Adder, and we will never back down. I stand with Vydor and the council" as they each put on their rings.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Kellyn and Vydor were married in the gardens.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, there is times when I laugh out loud and other times I am sad. Most of all I get caught up in the story and feel as if I am a part of the action. I am sometimes so captivated by the book that I find I am still reading well past time I should have gone to bed.
Any additional comments?
I had never listened to an audiobook before but I will sure listen to more. Jack de Goliath does an excellent job narrating this book. With his many different voices you get more of an experience than just listening to someone read it.
"Lost Tales Of Power" is a series like no other I have ever encountered. I like to read books that come as a series because I become attached to the characters or the storyline, or both. Most series end after a few books then you have to find something different. This series is based on a never ending storyline., therefore I have many years of enjoyable reading ahead.
I have read many books by various authors but nowhere have I seen an author that cares as much about their readers as Mr. Trigili. He interacts with the readers to a degree that will cause you to feel of him as a friend. I have talked with several of his fans on FB and they all hold him in the highest regard.

Great Audio Adaption of a Favorite Story
What made the experience of listening to The Enemy of an Enemy the most enjoyable?
Space operas are always a fun read and Jack de Golia does a good job of bringing the emotions of the characters to the forefront and bringing the action to life. Emotions and action are what space operas are all about, right?
What did you like best about this story?
Vincent Trigili does a good job building a universe in this story. The characters and story draw you into his world and his future novels (text-only so far) really build well off this base.

Fun Listen!
Would you listen to The Enemy of an Enemy again? Why?
Yes! The story isnt boring. You dont have long drawn put parts that make you want to doze off. Its exciting and fun.
What did you like best about this story?
You dont know what the writer is going to toss at you next. This story has everything, scifi, doomsday, magic and fantasy, and love too!
Which character – as performed by Jack de Golia – was your favorite?
The healer!!! I dont know why but between the writing and the narration, I just was drawn to the healer. The aspects of her complex personality come through. She has a soft, caring, gentle, demeanor set by the narrator and yet you know from the story she is tough and determined.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Has it all!!
Any additional comments?
If you want to run away into a place and time of space, aliens, wizards, and battles, this is the story!! Its pure fantasy and its scifi. The best of both worlds in one. :)
The narration is done well. Characters are easy to distinguish and their personalities come through. The writer did well with character development and in mixing the fun of fantasy with futuristic scifi concepts.
The only bad part was that it ended. But there's more in book 2. The nice side is your not left with a cliffhanger and yet there is more and thats the best part! You can listen to this as a stand alone but as they say, the battle may be over but the war goes on. ;)

Great audio book.
Very good audio book. I own the book on my kindle. And it's good to have a audio version when I'm unable to read. It's a very good mix of all types of scifi. With it being only book 1 it does leave stuff open. But makes me want to keep getting the books. And I have done that.

This book surprised me
I had looked into getting this book more than once in the past but never bit the bullet. When an opportunity arose to review it, here at Audiobookreviewer dot com, I took it. The term Science-Fantasy jumped out at me as I am an avid fan of fantasy. Though I do only dabble in Sci-Fi I’ve always really enjoyed the genre and have wanted to experiment with the melding of the two. Vincent Trigili does a pretty good job of doing it.
This story focuses on Vydor. A young officer in the Imperial Navy who gets signed on to a mission that is all but suicidal, by the emperor himself. He is granted a ship, the Black Talon, and a squad of Dark Knights, the best warriors in the Empire. Upon arrival to their destination they were attacked by a group of Magi, the very people they were sent to find. The Magi over powered Vydor and the Dark Knights. Only Vydor made it out alive despite the help of the Black Adders, a group of black ops group thought dead. Soon after, the Black Adders meet a mysterious man names Mantis. Mantis tells the tale of a war between Wizards and Sorcerers and the sad truth that the Adders universe is being dragged in and it’s up to them to stop it.
This book surprised me. It started off very slow, it was mostly mediocre dialogue the first half of the book, most of it relevant and some not. Right around halfway through it really got interesting. The first bit of combat erupted and the story started to unfold alot quicker. Introducing new powers, conspiracies, and hidden agendas that surprise and will change Vydor’s life forever. My only real complaint about the story is everything falls into place almost too easily, with people agreeing without question and immediately. Seems too easy. The story is really cool, however the story telling leaves a little to be wanted.
The narrator of the book is Jack De Golia. This was the first I’ve listened to his work. His production quality was very good, no background noise, breathing, or any other real distractions. His reading was a little slow and choppy. I got past this by speeding up the playback speed to 1.2x. On the other hand, he did a very good job creating voices that are easily identifiable with their respecting characters and consistent throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to listen to others work by him.
I say give it a try. It has a good price tag, especially when utilized with the whispersync feature. Plus, it’s a fun mix of fantasy and Sci-Fi. From space ship and Ensign, to telepathy and magic wands, Mr. Trigili has you covered.

Interesting premise with potential
An interesting idea here, and while the book startes off fairly strong, the lack of description and detail really started to hurt by the end. I'm certainly intrigued enough to see where things go with the sequel.

A good begining
Any additional comments?
It is a good begining to a series, I hope it gets better in book 2. It is kind of like Star Wars with Wizards.
