Publisher's summary

How far would you go to rescue your sworn enemy? Two adversaries on opposite sides of the Eternal Conflict meet by chance and become allied against a new and sinister third power that has entered the fray. The withdrawn Knight of the Light is supposed to be good, and he really kind of is. The Princess of the Dark is supposed to be evil, and she really kind of isn’t. Can they meet in the middle? Knight and Princess both are wounded and disillusioned with the war, but can their unlikely alliance save them? Can it save the world?

Great Story, Impressive Narration!

The narration was superb! I love the story (and series), but the narration took it to the next level for me for sure! The narrator's wide range of voices was incredible, and I particularly LOVED Ava's voice! Just a really spot-on delivery all the way around. There are some laugh out loud moments, too, which is pretty rare in a dark/urban fantasy offering. Very impressed!

It’s all just dressed up cliches

This was supposed to be original…
It is not.
The dark characters aren’t evil, gasp!
The light are not all good, shocking.
Sad self-sacrificing knight falls for beautiful princess on the other side of the conflict, unheard of.

None of the characters are even remotely interesting, you’ve met them all before although usually not quite as stereotypical.

I really tried giving this a shot but it just kept getting worse if there are any surprises in this story I’ve yet to see any evidence of them.

Maybe if I’d read this before I was a teenager but as a grown man.
No, just no.
