I could not finish it.

Despite the title, the book is not about a job. It is about a sick, unconventional and seemingly never-ending interview that no one in real life would submit to. The story was slow moving and I couldn’t finish it.

The narrator had vocal fry, and some of the characters sounded like cartoonish stereotypes.

I saw that the book and narrator received good reviews, but this one was not for me.

Good story, weird ending

The story was good overall, I even imagined it being an interesting movie, but the ending felt thrown together, as if the author was tired of it and just tossed a 25 minute ending together. I've noticed a lot of books have been this way lately... really a bummer. The narrator was great.

Decent listen

I wanted to love this book but the main character just bugged me. So indecisive and whinny. I had a hard time getting passed that. The end was the saving grace with a nice twist.

NO SPOILERS! Lovers of mystery and psychological thrillers should not read the books full description before listening to the story. It takes away some of the mystique and the journey of this story.

This story is immersive and takes you into an environment full of promise, intrigue, fear, and distrust. The full gambit of emotions.

It’s a fun journey and I especially enjoyed imaging myself in the protagonists shoes and wondering what I would do. It left me reflecting on what kind of person am I? How would I have done given the same experience.

I thought the narrator did a great job with differentiating the voices of characters. The story is very unique and I highly recommend it!

Fun listen, keeps you on your toes

This was a great bedtime mystery. Definitely intriguing and kept me guessing what would happen.

not a mystery/suspense novel

It may just be me, but I saw the ending "twist" coming a mile away. I was about halfway through, maybe less, when I figured out the whole thing. The main character is a whiny, not my favorite. The story isn't horrible, it's just super predictable. No mystery, no suspense.

If it's too good to be true............

Billed as a psychological thriller. It was a mini-thriller, up until the end, which was such a let down! Also, one really had to suspend belief to go along with the plot. A more sophisticated Hunger Games.

Great story!

This is a great story with an unexpected ending. The narrator did an excellent job keeping me engaged.
