Dragons are the most ancient and powerful clans, which rule the world with an iron fist. Every other living being are considered beneath them. Humans are considered the lowest of the low and are mostly invisible to the other clans.
Nyra is a human with a past. Drake is the most powerful Dragon in history. He can make or break anything with just a flick of his eyes. Dragons have a rule. The person to whom they lose their virginity will be their other half and mate until death. Drake sleeps with Nyra on a passionate night under the effects of a drug. Nyra slips away before being noticed by anyone.
But a tattoo forms on her lower back, as a symbol showing that she is a dragon's mate, which she is determined to hide. Drake is determined to find his unidentified mate. Who will succeed in their quest? Will Drake be able to accept Nyra as his mate, after finding out that she is a human? Can Nyra escape when her past comes after her? Will Drake be able to save his mate?

Early in the book, the dragon chokes his mate into unconsciousness... he then heals her injuries. Later in the book, the mate has been injured again, but this time, the dragon has to go find healing herbs... for some reason. Half way through the book, the guy suddenly has an inner dragon that talks to him and he can also speak to people telepathically. Apparently this was something he had the whole time, but it was only introduced in the latter half of the book, and then was used constantly.
Also, the guy is an idiot. He spends time with his maid who had the same features, the same scent, the same voice, the same personality, is from the location where he first raped his mate, and then appeared as a maid in his household right at the same time that his mate left the first location.
And instead of coming to the very obvious conclusion that this was the girl he mated, he bullies her and wonders where his mate is and why the maid keeps reminding him of her.
Then, the book just cuts off half way through. Not like a cliffhanger, but like someone took a complete book, tore it into 2 halves, and ended the book at that random page.
You have been warned.
