Publisher's Summary

Sophie never considered ghostwriting as a side gig, until former actress and aspiring lifestyle guru, Tilly Stratford, trophy wife of Wesley Winthrope, needs someone to write her celebrity cookbook.

Sophie agrees, hoping she'll earn enough bread on this assignment to finish her bathroom renovations. But as it turns out, Sophie isn't the first foodie to get a taste for recipe ghostwriting, and if the marginalia are any indication, this project could be a killer....

Wesley claims professional ghostwriter, Abby Bergeron, suddenly abandoned Tilly's cookbook with no warning. But Sophie quickly discovers that Abby may be more ghost than writer now...and her disappearance was no accident. So Sophie cracks open a fresh investigation, but sifting the seasoned murderer from this sampling of salty suspects won't be easy. Will Sophie savor another case closed or will the culprit simply melt away?

The best one yet

This book had me guessing the whole time. I especially liked that Sophie found out that two of her elderly friends had previously been spies

Ghost writer

Sophie is offered a ghost writing job, which she has never thought of doing before. I love the idea of a ghost writer and how that worked. Thank you Ms. Davis for explaining. Sophie and her Old Town friends are in the middle of a murder mystery, I truly wish they would make this into a show because in my mind it already is one. When Sophie and Nina find the previous ghost writer dead, they decide to dive in and find out who did the murder. Especially when Mars is a suspect. I love the neighbors that get involved with this one, especially the spy aspect. I cannot wait for the next one.

SHE'S BACK!

I really enjoyed all of The Diva's early books and then a couple of the recent books seemed formulaic. "Spices" is back to an enjoyable listen. I've said it before but there are a few book series that would not be the same without the narrator and Hillary Huber IS Sophie. Even when I read the printed Diva series I hear Huber's voice.

Loved it

I love these books and I love the narrator. This book had lots of intrigue and twists, so I did not guess who the murder was.

I was glad to see Natasha had only a small role.

I want Sophie and Mars to get back together and remarry. I think they really love each other. They’d make a good team.

Another great Diva mystery

This was probably one of my favorite Diva mysteries since I first started listening to them. It was almost the end before I figured it all out. I had picked up pieces as I was going along, but this one was just marvelous! Besides the yummy food the mystery and conclusion were so fun. Another hit for Krista Davis.
