Publisher's summary

Nathaniel and Chasan are no ordinary angels.

Destiny chose them to be twin flames, fated mates. But Nathaniel has avoided Chasan for nearly a thousand years.

When sent to Earth on a mission to live and work together, Nathaniel comes face-to-face with his destiny. Short-tempered, petulant, and grumpy, he hates the idea of being fated to anyone and has chosen an existence of isolation rather than spending time with the calm, kind, and serene Chasan. But now he has no choice.

One is fire, the other is air; a true dichotomy of angels. Together they will be ignited, or they will be extinguished. This assignment will seal their fate either way.

Surprisingly delightful

I put this one off for a while thinking it would be rather serious and depressing, but it turned out to be, while still a bit on the serious side, but delightful exploration of the relationship between one anxious, traumatized person, and the patient person who loves them through it, but not without their own humanity.

Angelic Enemies to Lovers

This is a pretty intense story. I can't say that I enjoyed it in the sense of having a good time, but it's an excellent read and I liked this treatment of this trope very much. Any N.R. Walker book is great and it didn't trigger anything to turn me off from going ahead with the performance. I do like the rebellion side of the story, of course I would. I also like Nick J. Russo and think he was a great fit for this book.

Absolutely wonderful!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but the narration totally made it spectacular! I couldn’t stop! Even knowing what was happening, I still laughed and cried.

exceptional

NR has done it again, you will laugh, cry and be unable to stop listening. Nick J Russo was perfect (as always) in his performance. NR Walker is my favorite writer, the stories she comes up with are just outstanding.

My eyes are leaking in the best way!

I listened & jumped into this book blind. I know it’s an NR Walker, therefore it’s bound to be great. This book took me on a journey, along the way were different feels. The premise of the book is very unique, the setting is brilliant (both heaven & its corporate system and New York), the characters are endearing. It’s a really wonderful read. I was teary-eyed on some parts. But I was smiling wide especially after the epilogue. It’s one of those books where you wish there’s more.

Nick J Russo did amazing with his narration. The nuances of each characters were captured and varied. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Angels on Earth

I felt the story started a bit slow.
I guess I was looking for some suspense and this is not really a suspense story though there is a tough of it of sorts in a test at the end.
The characters are all intriguing and fun and there are quite a few, then toss in a classroom of kids.
There is a lot of humor as well.
This is very slow burn then gets hot.
There is a twist just when you don’t expect it that did take this from a 3 to a 4 for me

The narration was great. All characters have distinctive voices and you can even see the light and dark in Chasen and Nathaniel’s character.
And at the end you can hear the fury in Chasen and I shook from his sorrow and fury. The narration made the book.
