Having narrowly escaped the electrifying machinations of Thomas Edison, Books and Braun are looking forward to a relaxing and possibly romantic voyage home. But when Braun's emergency signal goes off, all thoughts of recreation vanish. Braun's streetwise team of child informants, the Ministry Seven, is in grave peril, and Books and Braun must return to England immediately.

But when the intrepid agents finally arrive in London, the situation is even more dire than they imagined. The Ministry has been disavowed, and the Department of Imperial Inconveniences has been called in to decommission its agents in a most deadly fashion. The plan reeks of the Maestro's dastardly scheming. Only this time he has a dangerous new ally - a duplicitous doctor whose pernicious poisons have infected the highest levels of society, reaching even the queen herself.

The action in this steampunk Adventure seem too slow in this book. NeverthelessI am interested enough to keep reading. Hope the authors take a little more time writing, so the plot moves along better in the next story.

slowed down a bit

The pacing is the only thing that felt odd to me, overall awesome! Great cameos!

Great next chapter to the story!

This is a fantastic follow up. I enjoy the relationship with the kids and Eliza. This was especially good because Eliza is like a lion protecting her cubs when it comes to the kids. The kids soften the edges of Eliza.

There is always fun when you an fight for your county with the one you love for the kids you love. And to have the righteousness of Queen and God on your side, you can not be beaten.

Fast cars, weapons, a woman with a bad ass attitude who likes to blow up things, a librarian who is a meticulous dresser and a tinker, and a bunch of street urchins means a good story.

Love It!
