Publisher's Summary

All that glitters isn't gold in this new compelling tale of love, money, and divorce gone wrong from award-winning and number one Essence best-selling author ReShonda Tate Billingsley.

Most people think that money is the key to happiness, but when an ecstatic Nina Lawson wins millions in the Powerball lottery, her world is turned upside down.

At first, she and her fiance, Rick, are delighted with the unexpected windfall and immediately begin planning their future. Soon, family members and friends begin coming out of the woodwork to claim a piece of Nina's winnings. But the most unexpected request comes from Todd, Nina's ex-husband.

He and his fiancee, Pam (with whom he had the affair that ended their marriage), reveal that the paperwork making Todd and Nina's divorce official was never filed...and she may be compelled to share half the money with her husband. As the situation begins to spiral out of control, Nina risks losing her heart and her newfound winnings to find out what really matters.

All over the place

It was a good book but kind of all over the place. I wish we got more in depth with the the girlfriend and boyfriend. I would have love to know their thought process. Along with the Sister.

Makes me think twice about playing the lottery

As always I enjoy Reshonda books. This book really showed the things people don't consider when they get extra money. As Biggie said, Mo Money, Mo Problems!

The devil is definitely a lie

The author did a good job at making the main character Nina meek and humble. But she was also less than smart. A lot of this storyline was unbelievable-- could anyone be that naive with a new relationship, or worse with winning the lottery? This book had me smh most of the time in disbelief.
Lastly, I didn't think the narrator did a good job with the performance and giving life to the characters.

DEVILS

This was another great book by Reshonda. Enjoyed the storyline and the narrator. Her voice was enough to want you to hear more. It was clear, you tell the difference with characters and you could hear the emotion behind each. Kinda wanted more to this ending with the other family members making changes. Overall, I loved it.
