Horrible narrator

I may have enjoyed this book but the narration is cringe worthy. Story was eh

Love It!!!

I’ve pretty much read mostly all of Jennifer’s books. This is the first Thriller/Mystery I’ve read of hers and I’m pretty sure this is her first, maybe. But anywho. This book was really good. It had me hooked from start to finish. I was suspicious of one person from the beginning, but I kept changing my mind. What I wasn’t expecting was that one person. Either or I knew it. Great ending. A must listen or read!! Audible Plus Rocks!!!

Terrifying

This story is full of Unexpected twists, horror, and growth. Very enjoyable! I recommend reading this story!

The narrator did not do voices well

Unfortunately, the narrator was not good for the book. She had a difficult time transitioning from character to character. Her male voices were not good at all. This was not Armentrout’s best book. It was just ok. I definitely prefer her 18 and older books better.

This author should do more thrillers

This was actually a fun read. I normally stay away from thrillers but this one was fun. The motive was a surprise, the killer was predictable, to a point. I really enjoyed act three and didn't feel too much of a slump with the tension build up scenes. A little too descriptive with the spicy scenes given they're minors though. That was yucky.

Story

The story was good.
I wish the narrator could do a males voice better. It was kinda cringy.

Narration sucks

The story is fine, but the narration was sophomoric. The narrator had aa habit of drawing out the end of words. It was quite off-putting.

Great storyline

This author consistently puts out really good stories. This one for me was a little bit different than the ones I normally listen to. I tend to listen to the ones that are more on the supernatural. This one is more basically natural however, it was suspenseful. It went somewhere at times it was a little slow, but it wasn’t unbearable and I made it through the book. I wished it was a little bit longer, maybe had a little bit more of another twist to it but other than that great book.

Great Horror, Bad Twist

Spoilers Ahead; The first time I listened to this book, I honestly loved the horror. The first attack truly terrified me and I was super excited to keep listening. and truthfully, this book was well written. The horror sequences were good, I spent so much time trying to figure out who the killer was(and if the killer was even a real person or paranormal), and I definitely fell into the bait traps the author kept putting out. And then... the ending. Sigh. The final ending is fine, but there's not really closure. Two murderers, one is her ex boyfriend/best friend and there are NO HINTS about it. Like, yeah, he acts jealous about her having a new boyfriend(this book is pretty romance heavy but thats fine, I think the horror was the best part) but he never once acts like a psycho killer then all of a sudden, at the very end, SURPRISE! He's the killer and his reasons are...?? He's mentally screwed up? okayyyy?? Then he dies, and there is literally a conversation after that where the main character and her love interest basically say "We'll never know why he did it, he took it to the grave" like???? THANKS. IM GLAD THE MOTIVE IS HES CRAZY??? I wished the motive was guilt, that he felt bad for killing their friend and it crushed him and he saw how it crushed the others. so he makes the bullies pay then kills her to "save her" from the guilt. but no, we never get an actual reason behind the two killers(again, out of left field) other than they're both unhinged.

the horror was fantastic, if you like horror and romance, definitely a decent read. but the ending is lacking.

as for the voice, she's fine. I mean, she can't act a male voice at all, but you get used to it and, honestly, same.
