The #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling phenomenon

Some things are worth waiting for . . .

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at that fateful Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. What she never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she's building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing . . .

Cameron Hamilton is six feet, three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make Avery want things she believed had been irrevocably stolen from her. Getting involved with him is dangerous. Yet ignoring the simmering tension that sparks between them—and brings out a side of her she never knew existed—is impossible.

Some things shouldn't be kept quiet . . .

But when Avery starts receiving threatening e-mails and phone calls, she's forced to face a past she wants to keep buried and acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. If the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface with one less scar? And will Cam be there to help her?

And some things are worth fighting for . . .

I actually really liked this book. I LOVED the characters and it had a lot to say but didn't leave me emotionally drained. A great love story thrown in that I couldn't quit listening to. Every woman needs a man like Cam. I think Sophie Eastlake did a really good job. At first I wasn't sure about her Cam's voice but it became him by the end and I loved it. this book was definitely worth the credit. looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Man Cameron Hamilton sets the bar for make out there. Patience and understanding and the want to be with a person. I wish they would release his book on audio also.

Story was pretty good. Expected something more at the end from the main characters parents, disappointed in that. But the story wasn’t bad.

I didn't know if I would like this book as the story is about a very young couple and I tend to find books written about young people not to my liking. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this book from start to finish and didn't forward through parts. This book kept me engaged in the story and the characters were down to earth and real.

Enjoyable

What did you love best about Wait for You?

I loved how this book was so true to real life. In real life bad things happen to good people, and it takes those people a while to get over what happened, if they ever do. JLA didn't scurt around the bad parts, she put them into detail. I have read quite a few books where the main character gets really close to being sexually assaulted, and their knight in shining armor comes to save them. In real life not everyone has a knight, and people sadly get assaulted all of the time. Jennifer tells a good story of what it is like living with something like that happening to you. I love how real it felt.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wait for You?

When Avery finally comes clean with Cam about everything. (thank god!!)

Which character – as performed by Sophie Eastlake – was your favorite?

I loved Cam so much. Cam was just so cute in how he chased Avery, and so sweet in the way he understood what happened to her. If only there were actual human males who were this swoon worthy in real life. *sigh* I always fall in love with JLA's male leads. She does such a good job in painting a good picture. One of my favorite things about Jennifer's writing is her detail. I get so frustrated when I am reading a book and I don't even know the main characters hair color. Her books are nothing like that. They always have so much detail that makes the story so vivid in your head.

Who was the most memorable character of Wait for You and why?

Cam was my favorite, but Avery was the most memorable. She grew from everything that happened to her. She may have been a coward in the beginning, but she well than makes up for it at the end.

Any additional comments?

This book will go down as a favorite. (as if JLA could write anything that I wouldn't love) I did get so infuriated with Avery a lot. She had so many opportunities to tell Cam everything, and I was so anxious waiting for it. I hate for things to be dragged out like that, but it stayed true to reality. In a book, pretty pictures are painted for the readers, but we get the raw emotion in this one. I can imagine that something like that isn't easy to talk about or tell to others, so I'm glad she tortured us with suspense. It was well worth it.

Another reason why JLA is my favorite author!

I LOVED this whole series primarily for the terrific writing that includes the compelling story of falling in love, destructive secrets and redemption. The characters of Cam and Avery are both damaged people. One hides behind being an extrovert and BMOC and the other as an introvert who shuns attention. The narration of Sophie Eastlake is beyond good...she is one of the best Audible has to offer and she certainly nails this book. Don't miss this. It's wonderful.

Don't WAIT to listen to this

I LOVED this book! This is only the second book I've listened to on audio and the first book I listened to was narrated by a male. So this was the first female narrator I've listened to. At first my thoughts when the narrator impersonated the males voice was that she made him sound more like a creeper than sexy, but after the first few chapters I changed my mind...the voice was actually incredibly sexy (which is weird because she's female lol) Anyways the actual story itself was really really good. I have a 40 minute commute to and from work 5 days a week so instead of flipping through music I decided on the books. I wanted to spread this book out as long as I could because buying book after book can get expensive. I did really good at only listening to it to and from work until I hit about Chapter 20, then I really wanted to listen to it as much as possible and started listening to it on my lunch breaks and finally by chapter 29 I couldn't stop. I laid in bed one night and had to finish it. I couldn't stop...I needed to know how it ended. So describing this book in 1 word I would say its addictive! :)

Don't get me wrong I wanted to strangle Avry throughout a lot of the book but I guess that's what made me want to keep listening to it...to see if she would finally get her head out of my butt and tell her secrets!

I will be listening to this again!! Great buy!!

Loved it!!
