Full of mystery - What lies hidden in the forest?

What lies hidden in the forest? If you like nicely paced books that slowly reveal what is going on, this will interest you. I decided to download the audio version too since I like to listen when on the move, then read when at bed at time. Complex, and with enough mystery to keep you going .

A Captivating Tale

It's so easy to become invested in these characters who seem so real. The town was a character in itself with a mysterious air.

Government Secrets

outstanding listen. This was just a fun listen that touched on some serious subjects that we all want answers to.

The narrators voice threw me at first and them ad the story progressed it fit in PERFECTLY for the region the story is set in. trust me, if you spend more than 2 years in Houston it will all make sense, lol.

Hoping to see more of this series.

Far out and good.

Really enjoyed this even if I feel it is way out there! Suspend your beliefs and throw yourself in to this one. Great character development. Some likable and some hated characters. Brooks Corley did an excellent job narrating!

Interesting writing

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. The book started out really strong, reeling me in to the mysteries. The writing is excellent, stringing along a brilliant narrative from different perspectives and eventually tying them all together. The end of the book was interesting, although it feels a little rushed, but it also feels like a conclusive way of ending things. Feels like the writing mimics that of the masses as well, everyone is excited and speculative at the beginning of an event, but once it concludes, people goes back to their normal lives with not much care about an event anymore. Narration by Brooks Corley is well done, his deeper voice is very well suited for this story and I've enjoyed it greatly. I'll also not forget the way he said "the dark has teeth".

The dark has teeth

This was an unusual read.I am still not sure if it was meant to be funny or not.The story,an escaped alien/vegetable experiment is killing people, was the usual. The narrator,Brooks Corley, however was good,in a back woods, red neck kind of way.I just don;t know.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Intricate novel that slowly builds up well

Steady paced novel which ultimately is about worrying tales of military power and the men at the top calling the shots and making all too often bad calls. Put your thinking caps on for this one since it is quite intricate in parts yet quite absorbing.

Takes you for a ride.

This audiobook is a really fun and compelling experience. The narrator takes you with him right away as the plots twists and turns. I'm interested in more from this writer. Suspenseful! I recommend it.

Alien Trees with a Wooden Narrator

WARNING SPOILER. This book is about genetically altered\combined alien and tree DNA. I couldn't stop laughing; not because the book was funny but because of a carnivorous tree. Absolutely ridiculous. The narrator, Brooks Corley, has a nice deep thick southern accented voice. However, his voice acting is very wooden. His thick accent had me rewinding a lot at the beginning, but once I got used to his accent, it wasn't so bad. There were too many characters to keep track of which made it confusing.
