We know more about distant galaxies than the deepest, darkest oceans… and what we don’t know absolutely can harm us…
Doctor James Lockwood, Ph.D. is embarking on a new career – studying deep sea predators and their genes in order to find cures for terrible diseases… and to soothe his deepest, darkest inner demons. Alysen Kruger, CEO of an old and powerful corporation has big plans for the future and for Dr. Lockwood… but she, too, has demons to conquer.
When sea life along the Florida Keys mysteriously vanishes and Jim Lockwood discovers a mutilated sperm whale floating in the Gulfstream, evidence points to something that simply cannot possibly exist. When boats and their crews start vanishing, leaving only flotsam behind, it becomes harder and harder to avoid the horrifying conclusion…
Something enormous, aggressive and monstrous has risen from the deepest depths of the sea…right out of Man’s nightmares… and it’s ravenous for blood. It has set its gargantuan eyes on humankind and carves a path of destruction from Florida to the Virgin islands.
A titanic clash is inevitable – human intellect and ingenuity against the awesome power of mother nature. There can be only one victor to rule over the Earth.
Can Jim, Alysen and their friends stop the beast, or will the Queen of the seas enfold the world in her crushing embrace?
The sea explodes with crimson as monstrous tentacles of terror drag you down to the mind-bending horror that lies in the crushing darkness…

The narrator is awful too. When it first started I thought it was an Ai reader, but it turns out it is a real person. This gets even worse when the narrator tries to give one character a Boston accent and another a German accent. If you cannot do accents, just don't try. Having characters without accents is better than extremely poorly done accents.
Bad pacing, awful narration
