In 2052 a squad of Marines from the Earth Military Federation are sent to investigate a newly built terraforming colony on mars. The station has mysteriously gone dark, after unearthing an alien structure buried just beneath the surface. The unit embarks on a mission to find out what has happened, only to uncover a nightmarish blood bath—the entire colony has been violently slaughtered. Now the unit must uncover what has caused the gruesome deaths of the colonists, and manage to escape before whatever it is that is hiding in the station begins to hunt them down, and they wind up another victim of the ENTITY.

book was ok even with virtual voice but not sure about ending could have been a little better

this is an awesome sci-fi horror!

I really enjoyed this listen. the story is exciting, tension filled, and actually scary. not much waiting around for the action to start either. also, I'm typically not a fan of the virtual narration, but this one was pretty good. so all in all this is a great listen, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Interesting Sci-fi Premise w/ AI Voice

The AI voice narration wasn’t terrible, storyline was interesting. Could’ve had more action or intrigue.

AI VOICE still destroying stories one by one.

Story not great. A mix of Aliens, The Thing, Predator, and Galaxy of Terror but in a discombobulated kind of way. Oh yeah, and the Virtual Voice still sucks. Takes too much away from an already bad story.

the subtle book agenda

blatant rip off of the ghosts of Mars with bad pod devices and repeat it on me mistakes by the main characters. I hate the AI reader with a passion is pronounces words incorrectly for the love of God pay a voice actor

AI narration was weird

Great story for space horror but the AI narration struggled with names and was a bit clunky.

JUST SAY NO TO VOICE AI

Somewhat typical alien rip-off. Was a nice fast read back and forth to work. However, voice ai to is awful. No proper inflection. you're going to have to teach AI what fear, anger, imperative, orders and that kind of stuff sounds like when human beings yell it, whisper it, speak it, before this is going to ever work. truly whatever reminded me of is a really bad dubbing of a foreign porn movie.

Sure don't like virtual voice nareation

I hate leaving a poor review but, I honestly didn't really care for this. I think the big think for me is the virtual narration, it's awful. I understand that maybe it one of the only ways some authors can afford to get an audiobook released, I don't know, but it will certainly turn me away from future releases. The story was 1/2 the movie aliens, dialog and all then a part event horizon. It did eventually find it's own feet and that wasn't bad at all, but by that point I was kinda turned off. At the time I listened it was available on audible plus. if it still is give it a go and decide for yourself.

the AI narration is terrible

I had a very hard time the the AI narration. it was very robotic with no emotion or soul. This made listening to the story very difficult. I think with good narration it would have been a much better story.

incredible Story!!!

loved everything about this except for the AI read voice. it was still great listening but the human inflection and voices you are used to is not there. Everything else. 5-stars!!
