Better than expected.

I didn’t like that this was a generated voice reading, but ultimately, it did a good job. The story line was fast paced and unbelievable, but enjoyable. Will check out other books by this author.

good concept awful pacing

the book has a great concept, but the execution falls flat. the pacing is just awful. over half the book is devoted to characters that somehow never get any development beyond "sexual predator," "hot scientist," or "Han solo wannabe." the action doesn't even kick in until 4 hours into a 7 hour book (again with those 4 hours devoted to characters that get no development at all), and then it is fits and spurts with way too many Deus Ex Machina driving tge action instead of the characters.

As bad as virtual voice is, it still is better than Kai Lannor.
