Virtual Voice HORRIBLE

This is probably a pretty good book, but sadly the AI reading is beyond distracting. There are things that need human touch. Reading is top of the list.

The reading distracts from the story

The quality of the voice was pleasant. But the word emphasis and punctuation seemed off in enough places I found it distracting. I wish I had not spent my money on this reading

I disliked the artificial intelligent voice. The voice infliction was completely off. But the story was good.

Horrible ending

It seems like there should be more to Hattie's ending. The story ended abruptly on a very sad note. Narration was artificial and lacked emotion.

The author would have been much better off to have narrated the book by herself.
The poor narration only took away from the story line, making it extremely difficult to listen to. I could never recommend this book because of the poor narration,

This book gives you a great look into a says life during the Civil War. The only thing that I didn't like was the way it ended. I kept wanting more. Great Book!

Excellent depiction of a brave woman

"The Couriers Wife" is an enjoyable read for those who love a strong woman protagonist. Author Lind paints a vivid picture of the Civil War era with her words and reveals a bird's eye view of what being a female spy might have looked like. The main character, Hattie, will be one to watch in this series as I believe she will not suffer any fool who steps in her way. Looking forward to more from this author. As a side note, the audio version that accompanies the printed one is generated by virtual voice and was enjoyable.
