The book was predictable and unrealistic. Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining but it was not hard to guess what was going to happen. The narrator was a bit dramatic.

loved this book! my first experience with an audible book....I couldn't stop listening! thanks, Amazon, for this trial and 2 free unable books!!!! I am hooked!

Today on "dumb criminals"

This was truly a captivating story. Anne and Marco, come home one night from a party to discover their infant daughter has gone missing without a trace. This leads to a media circus, an investigation and a whole lot of pointed fingers.

This started out underwhelming for me. But once it revved up, I couldn't stop listening. I became suspicious of everyone and immediately started drawing my own conclusions. Anne is unstable, Marco is insecure, the neighbors are sketchy, and Anne's parents were a bit "too perfect". Basically you're left not wanting to believe anyone. In the end, the swindler gets swindler and... no body wins. if you like stories like Gone girl, you'll enjoy this one. The characters are incredibly flawed but beautifully dynamic. Their unreliability made for a classic "who done it" feeling throughout the book.

The narrator was a bit dry. It took me awhile to get interested because he delivery wasn't the most exciting.

Who Has The Baby

The above name would have been a wonderful name for this page listening audiobook. I loved it.....from beginning to the surprising conclusion... Narrator and writer did an excellent job of suspence and on the edge of my seat....wondering if the baby was alive dead....J won't ruin it for you, read the cliffhanger for yourself.

Give it time...

The first half of this book was stilted and predictable in a Fargo-esque kind of way. The narration was annoying in its over-pronunciation of the text and an almost sub par, amateurish quality. I thought I had figured out the plot. But I was wrong. The second half of the book came alive and the narration improved, particularly with the character voices. Things relaxed technically as the story heated up. In the end, I was hanging on the edge of my seat. Definitely not "The Girl on the Train" quality as advertised, but better than expected. If you can abide with the beginning, you will be rewarded at the end. Not the best book I ever read, but it did get better. Marco was unlikable, even as a victim, and didn't get the comeuppance he deserved, but who am I to judge. Interesting plot, if you have the patience to wait a long time to realize it. Worth the read. But you must give it time.

From start to finish, you are always second guessing, think you have the answer and BOOM, another twist! Loved, loved this book!

The narrator did a great job! The story started off slow but once it got going it was great.

I started and finished this book in a few days. I just wanted to know more. I was always on the edge of my seat. The story is full of twists and turns and ends in a way that I never expected.

Suspenseful but need an alternative narrator.

Did not care for the voice and inflection of narrator’s voice. But a good story.
