All 18-year-old Celeste Garrett wants is to head off to college and make those fun, yet ill-advised, choices college kids are known for. And maybe to spend some time with the hot cameraman she just met. Instead, because of a pact her ancestors made in the 17th century with a mythical creature, she has to save the world.
While normal kids are slamming energy drinks and cramming for exams, Celeste will get her adrenaline rush fighting a fire-breathing dragon. She wants to meet friends in the quad to exchange lecture notes, but first she must exchange blows with a shapeshifting demon on the rooftop. Life isn't t always fair for a superhero, but at least she doesn't have to do it alone. With her brother and sister as sidekicks, they alternate between saving lives and getting on each other's nerves. Together the trio encounters unspeakable odds and mystical forces and comes face-to-face with an image that will haunt them forever: their grandmother in a leopard-print bikini.

Did not like this book at all.
Interesting concept, however, it has really cheesy jokes and has bad writing. Heard this book in Audible. Even the narrator reading this book sounded really confused. I listened through the entire story waiting for it to be finished. I couldn't listen to it anymore. Thankfully it's over.
Rekindled my love for this book!!
I have loved this series since I began reading it way back in 2012! Getting to relive it through the audiobook was even better though!! It was thoroughly entertaining with the narrator's voices bringing these beloved characters to life! At first I was a teensy but annoyed by the voice she used for Gabe though as I envisioned him sounding a bit different, but after a few chapters it had me giggling each time he spoke up. Grams was spot on!! She is a freaking riot!!
If you are new to Stacey Rourke & her highly addictive world's she creates this is a superb introduction to her work. She always brings a splendid mix of emotion, action, comedy, & snarky wit along with a few heart wrenching moments to ensure we keep coming back for more. The Gryphon Series happens to be the first that lured me in & I just had to have more after that! I actually read The Conduit after book 2 by accident though. HeeHeeHee If you are a paranormal fan that likes sassy characters then this should bring you hours of joy.
Here's my original review of the book itself:
Can I just say....This series ROCKS!! I started reading Embrace & then realized I had missed this one. I have now read them all. If you are into paranormal with plenty of humor added in then you will adore these characters & their stories!!!

Not good in audio format
The story is interesting enough to keep me listening to this book, but would not pay to listen to the next book if the same narrator is used.
