Publisher's Summary

Life as an ENFP is no walk in the park. Despite the happy-go-lucky attitude they exude, only those who share the specific preference for extroversion, intuition, feeling, and perceiving on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator can truly understand the unique form of chaos that governs this type's restless mind.

Embodying a profoundly strange stack of cognitive functions, ENFPs approach the world with both the enthusiasm of a child and the wisdom of an old soul. In this detailed, type-based survival guide, seasoned MBTI author and shameless ENFP Heidi Priebe explains how to manage the ups, downs, and inside outs of everyday life as one of the most passionate yet self-contradictory types.

Needed to hear all this!

I couldn't figure out why I was becoming so depressed and getting worse with all my fixes like making strict schedules and making sure my surroundings were meticulously cleaned by me. Now I understand what it is I really need to do and am looking forward to the future again.

Me to a T!

I laughed, cried and everything in between! When did I get to know the author? How did she know me so well? What an amazing explanation to everything I feel. Loved it.

Perfect for MBTI Nerds

I had so much fun listening to this book! It helped me understand myself better, and gave me a lot of ideas for my relationships with other types. As much as I've read about ENFPs, I was surprised that there was so much I didn't know. Really really great book! Honestly, I think any MBTI nerd would like it, regardless of type.

Satisfying

Loved this! A lot more robust that I thought it would be. If you are an ENFP or know one, this is better than any article out there.

Every ENFP should check this one out!

This was exactly what I needed to better understand and appreciate myself as well as how to interact with others. It's brain food, a self-esteem booster, and a map for self improvement. What more could any ENFP ask for?!

Great book on ENFPs I just wish…

Although excellent and such a fun book to listen to/read as an ENFP, I wish There were a few topics discussed that weren’t.

I’m generally curious how we as ENFPs develop differently when raised by parents who are not intuitive. I have two ISTJ parents and as a result I believe I’ve developed a bit differently than most ENFPs. I was only accepted and shown love when I did what they deemed acceptable, as a result I’ve developed into a more organized, efficient, dependable, responsible & semi-predictable person.

I assume we change quite a bit based on our childhood/upbringing. Like ENFPs who were severely abused or extremely spoiled… so I was just curious about the way we’re are raised and if it does effect ENFPs if they are forced to develop in ways they aren’t at the core.

I also didn’t like the part in the book that “no matter what she chooses (to stay with current boyfriend or the dude she is lusting after), she will be happy either way”. ENFPs are able to experience deep depression—we aren’t always happy. When we make seriously terrible decisions we can plummet into depression (as illustrated in a different chapter by the other and her move to the west). I seriously doubt leaving the love of her life for a dude she is physically attracted to will make her happy.

Also, the omission of the importance of religion seemed odd. We are some of the most religiously devout personalities and for many of us our identity is strongly tied to how spiritual/religious we are.

Such a great book though. Maybe the author can do a part two or an update it one day and discuss some of these other aspects of ENFP character And development.

It was fun

It was fun but as an audiobook, it was too hard to follow. As a survival guide, it would be better to read!

I did expect that in the book there will be more tips on how to do some things that were suggested but it was still fun and interesting.

This book made me smile

It is almost 90% accurate of what I am. It made me smile at times when it guessed about my personality and behaviour. Some part of the books is difficult to understand especially while comparing with other personality types. Overall its a good one.

goof beginners material

This is an excellent material for MBTI beginners, lots of good content. It has so far much 'abbreviations' tho, not really user friendly.

Tedious

Self obsessed and very tedious. Narrator’s voice is also quite annoying! I will be returning this!

Narration was unbearable.

I couldn’t listen to more than 5 minutes of this book, the narration sounds like the Siri robot voice, which is in fact, so identical I am of the assumption this was used in creating the audio book.

Best MBTI book I have ever read!

This is a truly outstanding book. It doesn't sugarcoat anything, but instead discusses both ENFP strengths and weaknesses (and how to overcome them). If you are an ENFP, this is an absolute must read!

Fantastic, educational book!

I loved this book and learnt a lot from it. The only critiscism I could find was the length of Ch.22, which I found to be slightly laborous.
