During the coldest winter on record, an EMP sends American back into the Stone Age. Jack and his family find sanctuary in their cabin in a small, remote town hidden deep in the forest. Little does Jack know the blizzard will be the least of his problems.

I received a free copy of this book. This is not my normal genre. Im trying new things. I enjoyed this book and I believe if this is your genre you'll probably love it. It was full of action and kept my attention. It was easy to follow. I liked the characters. I like this for a change. But its still not something that I'll listen to much just occasionally. Cheryl May does a great job narrating this book.

My husband and I are traveling right now, decided to listen to some audiobooks to keep my mind occupied through all the miles and I loved this story it kept me entertain all the way through. Didn’t want to stop listening to the story. Looking through more now from the same writer.

My first EMP

This is an action-packed story, great characters, but unfortunately maybe a little unbelievable. The situations that the characters got out of were a little over the top, and perhaps a few too many as well. There were also a few odd moments; why didn't Kate leave a note for Jack back at the apartment before they left? Would Kate and Susie really recognize Jack in the middle of a blizzard when dressed as an enemy soldier? surely his head and face would be fairly covere. Why would Arthur wait so long to come to the family's rescue? For that matter, why not circumvent the town and wait in the woods and try to meet his family BEFORE they got to the town? Still, an enjoyable story ( minus a few typos), good characters, and a good narration.

I barely graduated from high school and think I cloud have written a comparable book. Seven hour cliche.
