Publisher's Summary

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*

Booktrack editions are essentially a new genre of digital storytelling entertainment. Music and ambient audio are added to complement and enhance the audiobook experience. It is a synchronized movie-style soundtrack that complements the narration of existing audiobooks; the tempo and rhythm of the score harmonize with action, dialogue and the characters' emotional arcs.

Tana lives in a world where walled cities called Coldtowns exist. In them, quarantined monsters and humans mingle in a decadently bloody mix of predator and prey. The only problem is, once you pass through Coldtown's gates, you can never leave.

One morning, after a perfectly ordinary party, Tana wakes up surrounded by corpses. The only other survivors of this massacre are her exasperatingly endearing ex-boyfriend, infected and on the edge, and a mysterious boy burdened with a terrible secret. Shaken and determined, Tana enters a race against the clock to save the three of them the only way she knows how: by going straight to the wicked, opulent heart of Coldtown itself.

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown is a wholly original story of rage and revenge, of guilt and horror, and of love and loathing from best-selling and acclaimed author Holly Black.

*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Really great narrator!

This was hard to stop listening to! Very good work from the narrator, amazing acting, and just very nice in general. The story is pretty good, 1-2 things that are iffy, but that's personal opinion. Really good overall!

A Captivating book you'll love getting lost in.

I absolutely adore this book. I've read it several times and bought the audio because I wanted something I knew I loved to listen to while working on art. The story is captivating and believable. Holly Black doesn't shy away from the dark and uncomfortable parts of what humans are like. And challenges the idea of what it means to be a a monster. The world she creates is full and immersive. You can see it as absolutely being real. And all the details bring it to life and pull you in. The characters are layered, complex and human. Even the inhuman ones. Unlikeable characters are unlikeable for more than just that they are "evil" or "mean" and you love characters despite their flaws. The flaws only making them more relatable and endearing. The narrator also does a splendid job and has a wonderful voice. and music is put in at times that add to the atmosphere and mood. I love this book and believe anyone who's a fan of fantasy, fairy tales, adventure, vampires or great writing will love this book too.

I listened to this book a long time ago and loved

I absolutely love this book and just wanted to leave my feedback on it. This though is the audio version that adds the sounds to the normal audio version which I think is much more preferable when listening to this story. I only wish there was a contiuation of this book I buy it in a heartbeat!€€♡♡♡♡
