Worth your time and attention

This book is profoundly eloquent and moving. The intimate journey of two friends has a scale as monumental as real life in all its complexity. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

sensitive, lovely story

I loved the relationship between the boys and was touched also by Reuven's relationship with his father.

One of the greatest stories ever told

I originally read this book over 40 years ago. The Chosen touched me deeply then, and even more today.

The story of a beautiful friendship and the father/son relationships, is breathtakingly beautiful.

The Talmud instructs us to find two foundational relationships:
1. A Teacher
2. A Friend
