"In this audiobook presented by an ensemble of narrators, a girls’ trip to a chateau in Provence quickly goes awry after Séraphine, grandmother of one of the girls and owner of the chateau, is found murdered in her bed. The tightly woven plot’s backstories are told from the viewpoints of the protagonists, with different narrators voicing each one. The seven narrators are well matched to each other and the tone of the story, with each confidently using French accents where necessary...the narration of the story from Séraphine’s point of view by Jackie Sanders stands out. Her pitch and tone conjure up the image of an indomitable grande dame."

read it!! It keeps your interest and you won't figure it out til the end

Couldn’t Put It Down

Kept my attention from the beginning until the very end. The the different narrators made the story even more enjoyable.

Meh

I wanted to love this book, but I couldn’t get past the annoying “friends.” Not happy I wasted a credit.

whodunit?!!

This was kinda giving me The Paris apartment, big little lies, lifetime crime/drama movie vibes.

It was alot of pov passages (mostly about things taking place in the past and what the character was thinking about in that moment)

Also with the 7 main characters and side characters in the story I had to go back and forth sometimes to make sure I kept them all in track but overall this wasn't bad, I really hate there was a cliffhanger!

I kinda hope there is sequel to see what will happen even if it's a short story...I would read it.

Great Character

Great character development and pacing. The story started off interesting enough and by the end it was a story wrapped in a story, wrapped in a twist.
