Publisher's summary
"Lily?" My stomach dropped as a tall, dark-haired man stepped into view. Had he been hiding between the trees? "No. Sorry." Gulping, I took a step back. "I'm not Lily." He shook his head, a satisfied grin on his face. "No. You are Lily." "I'm Summer. You have the wrong person."
You utter freak! I could hear my pulse crashing in my ears. How stupid to give him my real name. He continued to stare at me, smiling. It made me feel sick. "You are Lily," he repeated. Before I could blink, he threw his arms forward and grabbed me. I tried to shout, but he clasped his hand over my mouth, muffling my screams. My heart raced. I'm going to die.
For months, Summer is trapped in a cellar with the man who took her - and three other girls: Rose, Poppy, and Violet. His perfect, pure flowers. His family. But flowers can't survive long cut off from the sun, and time is running out....

Finally, a 1at POV!
Well written and suspenseful. I actually found myself being more aware of my surroundings as I ventured out alone to start my day. I have to say, however, the ending was just too "heroic." I'd like to see a sequel that reveals the emotional struggles of the protagonist post-survival. Anyone can survive; few people really live. All in all, a great read!

ONLY OKAY
Listening to Summer cry all the time got old and I felt the ending was anti-climactic. Half way into it, I just wanted it to be over and was really hoping the ending would save it for me, but it didn't. It wasn't horrible, was just kind of a boring read.

The Cabin was better
I just didn't get as into this one. I listened to The Cabin by the same author and liked it so I thought I'd give this a try but it just didn't hold my interest in the same way. The female narrator was okay and I liked one of the male narrators but the other one (I don't know which was which) had a voice that kind of annoyed me. He wasn't in it too much which is why I still gave this 3 stars.

Boring, bland, non climactic and predictable.
I kept waiting and waiting for a twist to happen. No twists, no surprises. The same thing happens over and over with painful repetitiveness. The narrator sounded as bored as I felt. There was absolutely no suspense. Ending was just as plainly written and bland as the rest of the book. I was thankful when it was over. My worst audiobook choice so far.

It was very predictable.
I felt like I had watched this same story line in a movie before. Maybe. It was just OK for me. I listened to it over a span of a week. I hate when books just abruptly end. Like the author got tired of writing.

Worst reader ever!
The story is okay. Lots of holes in it. I've no idea how I finished it. The reader was just awful. The conversations the characters have were so cringe. And the fact the main character is.. 16, 17? The way she talks about her relationship with her boyfriend you'd think they been married years. I wish I didn't waste a credit on this.

Poor narration and story seems unfinished
There were lots of aspects of this I liked and was eager to know more about m. Like the girls families and Clover’s past but it kind of didn’t wrap anything up really and left lots of unanswered questions. What happens with Becca’s family?? Very frustrating and all the narrators were robotic which you kinda got used to but overall not especially impressed.
