The Carolingian Empire, at its best.

This is different from the many excellent books about The Carolingian Empire. I wonder I would ever have come across this book without the help of Wilfredo's (A reviewer) guide to the literature.

This is a very manageable book (3 hrs and 17 mins) on an immense topic, and I recommend it as an introduction to the subject.
