Publisher's summary

One year ago, I buried my husband.

One year ago, I held his hand and said goodbye.

Now I spend most of my days lost somewhere between trying to remember every smallest detail of our lives, and trying to forget it all. I fill my hours with work until I’m too exhausted to remember him, to feel anything at all.

One year, 365 days - and then one knock at my door changes everything. A letter from him, a last request, a secret will:

My dearest Nadia,

Trust me, my love. One last time, trust me. Sometimes the epilogue to one story is the beginning of another.

I did not want to listen to this book.

This author is one of my faves. When I saw she had a new book out I bought it without reading what it was about because she has never disappointed me.
With the world on fire right now I just want to laugh but this book didn’t let me. I cried, and cried.
What I tend to forget is that even though there is sadness, tears and loss there is always hope. That is one of the main reasons I enjoy JWs books. This book is a reminder that everyday is a gift of hope and possibilities.
Thank you for the reminder JW.
Also, I enjoyed the book.

Amazing story!

I haven't read a title by this author before now and really enjoyed this book. While I could do without the descriptive sex scenes, I felt the sorrow as well as joy in this story. I looked at other books by this author and while I will skip the erotica, there are other titles that interest me. At points, I thought Tess sounded like my best friend, Patty! This is such a touching story and one I would recommend.

Beautiful love

Not what I was expecting but it turned out magical. The love was epic. It's a slow burn but worth it.

5 emotionally poignant stars

Hands down, one of the most powerful and emotional audiobooks I’ve ever listened to. I can’t imagine what it would be like to experience that kind of devastating grief. But with Jasinda Wilder’s writing, I did. I experienced every moment of their heartbreak and their healing. It was torturous, yet absolutely beautiful. Every time I listen to one of her books, I think to myself, why on earth am I torturing myself like this. Then I get through to the end and say, THIS is why. Because Jasinda wrecks me but then brings me on the most inspiring and poetically magical journeys. No review I can write could ever do her books justice. You just need to go in blind and experience it for yourself.
And the narration – WOW. No doubt my experience would not be what it was had it not been for the extraordinary talents of Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne. They made this listen so much more emotional and all-encompassing. The story was told in dual perspectives, so it really needed the perfect narration from the male and female narrators. And that’s what I got, perfection. This is not an easy listen, and the storyline can be emotionally exhausting. Summer and Tyler were fantastic in guiding me through that.

Bad language

This book has a beautiful story. It held my attention and I would have given it five stars if it didn’t have such fowl language. There was no reason for it.

hard listen when you have a medical issue

i went in blind because I didn't know what the store was about... and was blinded by tears. this was a harder story for me as I am facing a medical condition that only has 50% - 5 year survival rate. just hard to think about. made me think about things.

Beautifully Heartwrenching

Such an absolutely beautiful love story. As long as you have some tissues handy, you’ll want to read (or listen) to The Cabin. Well written and strong narration bring the unconventional love story to life. These characters will wrap themselves around your heart.

Great story!!!

This was an amazing story! I can get really nervous with books with a lot of angst which this does not have, I didn’t have to stop it or anything I listened to it all the way through. I just want to say that this author is very, very good and has a great imagination!

The cabin

The story was great but you took away the significant due to the awful languages and you took 40 minutes to describe sex scenes which was not necessary. It really distracted from the story
