He fixed my window, so I called him back to fix the sagging, splintery front steps. Which led to him fixing my kitchen sink. And then he recarpeted my stairs. And then fixed the squeak in my bed.

He was supposed to fix my house, not my rusty, sputtering libido. And certainly not my broken heart.

the best

their love story is everything we dream of at the beginning of a new relationship..jessie's the best version of a realistic..mature male lead of every romantic story I've ever read. the low self esteem and the body image issues of a mature woman going into a new relationship is just too realistic..funny at some point that made her so relatable. recommended for sure.

Great story, rushed the ending

This book had so much potential and had solid execution in the beginning but felt rushed at the end. The sexual tension between the main characters is amazing and explodes is some great steamy scenes. The narrator did a great job. It is worth a listen (I listened through the audible plus catelogue) and I will be looking for more books by this author.

Solid 4star

The sad part about this entire story is this lady is saying she stayed in a loveless marriage where she’s cheated on, robbed and treated as if she’s disgusting but yet stayed for 10years …… that’s the saddest thing I’ve ever heard. Then she rushes into a lust induced haze where this new man who we obviously know she’ll “fall in love with” has to constantly battle her insecurities because she thinks she lacks in looks department and want him to continue to tell her how much he wants her every single time until she “believes it.” Girl if you don’t start journaling or something and learn to love yourself at your grown ass age of 40something. This made dealt with her insecurities in the bedroom and out of the bedroom for about 6hrs. She claims she likes a man that can communicate but her communication skills are at a 1/10. This was sadly a mess but also makes me cringe because I know in real life there has to be women like this. Audra is a good friend because she stood beside her friend regardless of all her terrible decisions and actions but I do wish that she would have more so pushed her friend to stop playing the victim earlier.

I have loved Jasindas work for a long while and so when I found this I had to get it!!! the story was awesome and fun and I LOVE Summers narration of it! I can't wait to read the next one!

The characters banter

I like Jasinda Wilders' books. They are entertaining. I just wish there was a male narrator for the male characters.

Just love her books. These are a great pallet cleanser after several heavy books. Love them.

This was surprisingly good

When I downloaded this book I thought it was a throwaway because of the title. You know the type, “the billionaires' big beautiful over 40 lover” 😭 or “the cruel alpha’s midlife secret baby” 😭. But this was good. The writing was solid. The characters were as realistic as they get in romance. There was no angst but there was a lot of high quality dialogue, the kind that really lets you see how these fictional people might get along in the fictional future.

The sexting was the best I've read. I hate when romance books use epistolary style (with texts and emails) and we have to listen to them go over and over the address every time the H or h click send. Here the texts were normal, mostly racy pics, feelings, and ETAs. Plus Jesse (H) slowly renovating Imogen's (h) home instead of bringing flowers, that’s my love language.

My only issue: “Hammered” is right. These people drink way too much. The heroine was like a ‘wine mom’ minus the kids. Pretty sure she’s an alcoholic. Her drunkenness - or rather her insistence that she was sober - created problems in the relationship that were a definite 🚩. And afterward all the talk about consent was a sexual buzzkill. Also this book has NO EPILOGUE.
