This is a review of the whole series

After reading all the books, I can say that this is one of the best fantasy series in quite a long time. It is a true Exploration of humanity of a variety of characters coming to grips with their own humanity, their darkness and light, and the relationships around them that are just as complicated as they are.

Greatest "non"-religious, religious book

I loved all the Christian symbols and the sick twist at the end. I finished it completely satisfied.

Honestly a Better Ending Than Hoped.

I have been reading this series since the first book came out. In fact i have re read this series more times than i can count. Endless hours have been put into theories and ideas, so much so i began to fear the end would not be as good as i could imagine it to be. Im not going to lie now and say it was, but it was better than i could have hoped. This conclusion left me suprised and happy. Brent Weeks spun a tail that brought me to love and hate characters, to tear up and laugh with joy, and finaly to smile knowing that this author understood his characters and loved them, and understood and loved his audience. He did not pander, but he wrote a satisfying ending that will forever be held in my heart as the best possible ending for the best series ive ever read. Thank you, Mr Weeks and everyone who made it possible.

Brent Weeks does it again

Simon Vance and Brent Weeks are a match made in heaven.

Brent brings it altogether in this one and leaves you thinking you know what is going to happen next just to be surprised again and again.

It was an absolute pleasure listening and I wish it didn't have to end.

a fitting ending

It was as long as it needed to be. Humor interspersed with moments of great tragedy, all the pressing questions answered, all the loose ends tied, overall an excellent job from one of my favorite authors.

Never Wanted the Series To End!

Loved this book series! Pulled me right in! Could not stop until I finished the entire series!

Bold choices for this finale

Weeks has crafted a fairly satisfying ending depending on your personal reaction to his rather bold choices. I do think there are some things that come across as too easy because of these choices, but I do respect the boldness of these choices. There were some scenes that were exhilarating to experience, even if I would have wanted them to play out slightly differently. Also I think the overarching themes of the book are a bit clearer in retrospect than they once were. I have more respect for Weeks and his approach to the story.

The reader, Simon Vance smooths over so much for Weeks. Anything clunky in the writing or dialogue is so confidently executed that I can’t help but acknowledge his incredible work here. He is a perfect choice for this series, so bravo to him and Mr Weeks.

so...what's next...I'm ready...please...something new from Brent weeks...please....I love his work.takes me away. best author and Simon Vance is amazing. thank you so much the two of you are beautiful.

A great ending to a fantastic story.

I first found Brent Weeks through the Night Angel series and was immediately enthralled by the story he wrote there. Black Prism was a slow-burn for me when I read it, but at the behest of friends who were also enamored with Mr. Weeks' writing, I read the next book, then the next, until I was devouring them. I finished this book in 3 days on the heels of Blood Mirror so quickly I can't recall what events happened in Mirror or the early hours of White.

All that to say: read this series.
