Publisher's summary

I just landed my dream job as an editor at the esteemed publisher Astra Books, and my client is the infamous sci-fi writer Derek Hamilton.

The greatest writer of our generation - in my opinion.

But it's not as wonderful as I thought it would be. I can't get this guy to respond to my emails, texts, or phone calls. Whenever I get him on the phone, he's a jerk that hangs up on me.

He's a pain in the you-know-where.

Yes, he's gorgeous...but he makes my life a living hell.

When I corner him at his penthouse, I discover that he hasn't submitted his manuscript because he's too busy with his day job...as an aeronautical engineer. The guy owns his own company building rockets and other innovations. He's also a professor of engineering at NYU.

Of course he doesn't have time to write his next book...with a schedule like that.

But I have to get him to write this book. Otherwise I'm going to lose my job.

Now I just have to figure out how to do that....

NEXT GENERATION AWESOMENESS

Why oh why did I start this.. this story of Cleo and Deacon’s beloved son Derek now all grown up into a similar yet very different genius than his father.. an insular, closed-off, misunderstood, sexy mastermind. Why am I beating myself up when it was a brilliant introduction to the sex-on-a-stick thirty yr old man Derek is now, his overwhelming juggling of irons in many fires, his wants and don’t needs, his bitchy fk buddy and his emotional struggles when he’s distracted by his pushy Editor Emerson? Well why is the cliffhanger ending and realizing this is a weighty four-book story too which won’t conclude ‘til next year!! I personally don’t like trickling through a long love story.. I like to one, two, three and possibly four it. So I’m holding my head in my hands right now, bringing them slowly down my face before yelling out my anguish and frustration in an angry scream because this was good and it’s left me hanging. But it’s done now.. I’m hooked.. but I’m not stupid.. oh no no no.. so I’ll stay far far away from this no-doubt emotionally twisted dual POV tale until all four books are out.. and then I’ll gleefully pounce. And I hope the awesome narration will continue to bring the heat and the hunger in the story, the struggles, the feels and the characters to life as feisty Emerson rearranges her life to get Derek to focus on finishing his much-awaited book. WORTH A CREDIT? Yes that was a given after I back-to-backed the previous four books in this awesome series where everyone’s bought a ticket on the Hamilton Express to Heartsville.. stopping at Crazy Town, Emotional Gap, Purgatory, Tempest Town and Rollercoaster Alley where the heat and hunger and the games of give and take left me buying this return trip.

Can't wait until the next book is released!

LOVE this series so much! This book was a nice spin into the future. Never would've imagined that Quinn would twist the series this way and I like it! New to this author and I've already "chipped" in other books by Victoria Quinn. Michael is always a pleasure to listen to. (Cheers to book 30+? With his amazing ability to change characters with little tweaks of his voice)
I didn't expect the ending.....CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT BOOK IS RELEASED
