Publisher's Summary

In this audio recording of Covenant History, listeners will learn about God’s creation, humanity’s rebellion, and God’s plan to renew the world. The books of the Bible are arranged in an order that helps you hear the unfolding drama more easily. Each book of the Bible is accompanied by an introduction that invites you to find the story behind the story, unlocking the context of the book of the Bible so that you experience a more in-depth listening experience. This audio Bible study uses the New International Version (NIV) which is an accurate, readable and clear translation with the goal of delivering the same Bible reading experience today that the first recipients of Scripture would have had in their native languages.

The scripture readings are read by renowned vocal performer, Max McLean. McLean’s skillful, engaging, but never overdramatized style will enhance the listening experience, and help you understand and enjoy God's word like never before.

The Bible books included are:

  • Genesis
  • Exodus
  • Leviticus
  • Numbers
  • Deuteronomy
  • Joshua
  • Judges
  • Ruth

The Order of the books is sublime

I am enjoying everything about this series. I especially love the order in which the books of the bible are presented. The commentary before each book gives fabulous context and the reading performance is perfectly balanced between dramatic and just clear reading of the words. I especially love that I can increase the rate of the reading and it does not take away from the performance.

Great combo of commentary and scripture reading.

I am very impressed with Max Mclean's reading of the Bible. I enjoy having a through summary before each reading section. The professional commentary is helpful unless you have already attended seminary.

Horrible

I though this was a review if bible it is just someone telling the story not the actual reading. Could not return after a few minutes of listening. This was my third attempt to get a reading of the bible in order bu book

No Bible reading

I don't need to know what's the Bible is about! I wanted to listen as it was read. Waste of my time and money
