Publisher's summary

Want to close more investment deals...and make more money in the process?

When the real estate market gets hot, it’s the investors who know the ins and outs of negotiating with sellers (and with agents, banks, contractors, and other institutions) who will get the deal. And it’s those same investors who will get their properties sold for top dollar and minimal stress!

With almost 1,000 successful deals between them, real estate investors J Scott, Mark Ferguson, and Carol Scott combined real-world experience and the science of negotiation to create an audiobook covering all aspects of the real estate negotiation process - from the first interaction with a buyer or seller to renegotiating the contract after a bad inspection or appraisal.

Containing dozens of true-life stories highlighting how strong negotiation skills can result in more and better deals, this audiobook includes lots of samples of dialogue that will teach you both what to say and how to say it in order to maximize your chances of reaching a profitable deal.

Inside, you'll discover:

  • How to uncover and use information to tip negotiating outcomes in your favor
  • Strategies for defining optimal first offers and subsequent counteroffers
  • Techniques for in-the-trenches negotiating and overcoming objections
  • Tips for conquering tactics employed by those on the other side
  • Techniques for using concessions to get your deal to the finish line
  • The blueprint to renegotiating issues that arise from contract contingencies
  • How to overcome the challenges of making and receiving offers through agents
  • Strategies to get the best deals when buying properties from banks and the HUD
  • And so much more!

extremely practical and educational

this book is way better than I thought it was going to be! It is for people who are just starting out and for the ones who have been negotiating for a while. It goes in great detail on simple and advanced strategies to get the very best deal in all situations, whether that be in a traditional transaction, investor transaction, institutional transaction, direct with the seller or negotiated through a agent. This book is a 10 out of 10!
good job 2 Jay! Carol! And Mark!

Helpful for Beginners

This book is very helpful for anyone new to investing or real estate agents. I found the noise that they used to alert you to interesting facts to be particularly piercing, but the content was very helpful.

as a real estate agent and investor very helpful

I thoroughly enjoy Mark Fergusons content. he has a genuine interest in educating and motivating his followers, leading by example with the work and content that he does. be ik ng both a real estate agent and investor it's great to find this niche of information from someone who is successfully making these businesses work. especially since the business can be hard to start and be such a roller coaster. this book is a great listen while in the car as new and refreshed info on how best to win contracts and develop win-win situations whether working a deal myself or on behalf of a client.

very insighful

This book was very good. I was a tad bit sceptical at first, because alot of other Bigger Pockets books have been hit or miss according to other reviews. However I really enjoyed this one. This will be one of those books I consistently come back to in order to reference alot of the tactics that it taught. Also the narration was damn near perfect. He spoke cleary, but not quick enough to where i didn't have to turn it up over 1x speed.
