Great for self realization.

It was a really easy listen. I am struggling to find my voice as a young coach, stuck between a job I hate that barely pays the bills or a risk that, regardless of the pay off, is the direction I want life to take. This book helped remind me that the right decision is the one you will rest easily at the end of the day with. Great eye opener, and the humor was a plus too.

Loved it!

I love the concepts in this book. They're very helpful. The narrator was a little too slow for me at times.

Bad language doesn’t make someone tough or intelligent

There are no answers in this tired book. The writer(s) play around with coaching and business issues but their use of the “f” word only adds poor style to their poor content.

Horrible waist of an Audible Credit

I bought this book hoping to learn something about actual coaching. Instead it was a horribly written diatribe of self loathing and self promotion for the author and his sales funnel. I want my credit back.

great content

The narration was overly dramatic and trying way too hard to pronounce everything perfectly, to the point of ridiculousness. It was, unfortunately, distracting to the excellent content.

Low value content

Slow to start and at times feeling like ads. Chapters are short and low in valuable content.

Not worth your time

Superficial but pragmatic

From an academic point of view this book is too superficial and doesn’t add much to existing knowledge if you are a regular reader of similar kind of subject matter. Nonetheless from a practical point of view this book covers all major pragmatic areas of interest without indulging into any unnecessary details. A nice listen for a weekend.

Not extraordinary!

I managed to get to chapter 8, being honest I flipped a few half pages to get there! the reading technique the narrator uses seems very fake and insincere. There is far too much content on what everyone else is doing wrong, rather than getting straight to the point. The point being made about doing what you love, rather than focusing on the money side of the job is exhausted in the book. Again, I hoped it would just get right into techniques. Mabey I'll go back and flip more to see what it's got, til now, it's a no from me.

Waste of time

I have listened to tons of audiobook, but this I had to stop i chapter 5. It didn’t progress or said anything remotely profound or innovative. Simply just a long story about being true to ourself and everything will work out in the end. Maybe I missed the point or it speeds up with great tools later. I didn’t have the stamina.

What is the purpose of this book

I found that this book was more a self help book than on how to coach. Maybe just my expectations

Basic

A lot of time spent on random advice such as drinking bulletproof coffee (not for me, thanks), a fair bit of peptalk, and very little on actual coaching.

I did like the emphasis on being fully present when coaching, and trusting that good coaching would flow from that.
