Disappointing

After listening to the first four books in a short period of time, the contrast in style and the few story errors stood out to me. I loved the first four books but this one was more of a soap opera style of drama and speeches. Ross and his lectures were very out of character and the addition of more graphic sexual encounters, made the book feel more like a low budget tv drama than the complex and classy beginnings of the series.

That said, I did still enjoy seeing how the main characters progressed in their lives.

Great story filled with thick emotions

Great storytelling and the reader is fantastic

The moving from one scenario/scene to another is tricky to follow. I found myself backing up as much as a chapter because i thought I missed something

A excellent series.

I love the series, but at times this installment dragged for me. As with all the others, the narration was amazing.

Ended too quickly<br />

This series is going too fast. I'm going to run out of books too soon. So great I can't get another quick enough.

Enjoying the entire series...

This book was a bit of a surprise for me, because the PBS series varies a bit from the content here. The French men are intriguing, but the accents are sometimes difficult to understand, just as they were for Demelza.

Hard to believe it was written years after the prior book

So hard to believe the author wrote this book about 20 years after the prior book. It is seamless in storyline. Why did he wait to write it? The narrator does a great job with the different voices and dialects. I feel like he's acting instead of just reading. Highly recommend this series from the beginning. And you have to keep listening to them all.

Loved it!

The black moon is a great part of the Poldark story. The near reader was able to capture all of the personalities in all of their moods. I loved it and highly recommend it.

Love this series!

Would you listen to The Black Moon again? Why?

I have thoroughly enjoyed each book in this series. I love seeing where these characters are headed. I look forward to the discourse between Ross and George, and how the Poldark's will prevail!

Excellent

Oliver Hembrough us absolutely amazing im his narration. Each voice is distinctive and authentic. I felt like I was listening to a play rather than a book.
The story is wonderful. Exciting, romantic and sometimes agonizing and heartbreaking. I love this serious.
