Mixed feelings

the voice acting is great and if you never read the wattpad verus it's great. But, I was so excited to see this came out on audible and was looking forward to hearing this story coming to life. The changes were just too much for me, especially with Nate. otherwise great if you didn't come for the wattpad version that I now have to reread.

Mixed Feelings

I orignially read this series on Wattpad and fell in love with it, I noticed the changes that were made and I still dont know how I feel about them. I am hoping there were not too many changes in the on coming books in the series but overall it was still a good listen.

Lots of forced danger.

The narration is good. The story is interesting, but the author sort of shot themselves in the foot with a lot of binary statements early on. The story sets up that the protagonist is in a very secure position and there won't be danger from outside stuff, so of course the protagonist constantly asks about outside danger, gets repeatedly told she's safe from outside danger, and doesn't believe the people who guard her. It gets to a point where each chapter sort of beats it into the reader's pov that's she fine and there aren't a lot of things to worry about, so when she eventually gets too stir crazy and reaches out to the outside danger it just feels extremely annoying. The world building and supernatural community are super cool, and honestly the story would probably play out much better without the thriller tag. The story elements introduced don't really make for a good suspense.
