Joey the naive

Overall, the book was good. However, they make the female main character very naive. She consistently does things that are cringe worthy silly. It almost turned me off from reading the remainder of the book but i powered on because i paid. It ended uo being a good read though

Short with no Spice but good banter…

This was a good story with a nice pace and a lot of drama. The MFC was ok she kept making bad choices that made me feel like it was more to keep the story going. I felt that she had many options but she kept taking the wrong one in an obvious way. I didn’t get why but it made the story move quickly plus I needed a short story to work so I continue the ride. World building has potential hopefully the author gives more in the next book. I also wish more was told about the characters, they seemed like a good mix of personality and I would have like maybe more of a description and abilities. There is no spice but it does have some action and I so enjoyed the banter it made the story worth reading. Overall it was a good read, I have enjoyed many of the other series from this Author and Nicole Pole is one of my favorite narrators but this story didn’t compel me to continue the series, I guess it just didn’t click. My reasoning for the 3 starts was more because nothing was memorable like I will forget the characters and the world once I pick up another book.
