"Is there anything more dangerous and alluring than a handsome billionaire playboy?" (Gretchen Meyer, Author)

A Sapphire Siren of The Seas Cruise Ship Vacation Romance

Shelby Conan walks in on her fiancé in bed with one of her bridesmaids on the morning of her wedding. She decides to go on the honeymoon cruise solo, to get away from it all. Little does she know, her cheating ex-fiancé is also on the cruise, and he's got another woman in tow. How could she bear to spend two weeks on the same ship with him and his new paramour? She needs to get off the vessel, but the ship has already left the docks. Her only chance of escape is to swim back to shore.

Shelby is livid when Ben Wellington, the handsome and egotistical owner of the cruise line, thwarts her plan and treats her as a crazy person when all she’s trying to do is get off the ship.

Ben Wellington, billionaire playboy and owner of the Sapphire Siren of The Seas, has singled out a gorgeous supermodel for his playmate on the two-week cruise. Seducing beautiful women couldn't be easier for him. Everything is going as planned until a crazed woman knocks the air out of him, in a mad dash to jump overboard. Ben will do whatever it takes to stop her, even if he has to tie her to his bed. However, Shelby turns out to be a new kind of challenge for which Ben isn’t prepared.

Anxiously awaiting the next book!

An easy and very enjoyable read. Can't wait to read the next book. The first 2 chapters were a real teaser. So many possible scenarios. Wondering where the author will take the story next.

I really enjoyed this audiobook!

New author to me and I loved their work. The narrator also did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. The storyline itself was interesting and entertaining. Definitely a must get! I can’t wait to listen to the next installment to be available on audiobook.

Great listen!

This is my first book by K. Thomas and it was an enjoyable listening experience. Shelby and Ben’s story was filled with miscommunications, assumptions, suspense and true romance! Their story demonstrated how jealousy can taint all the wonderful aspects of any relationship. Luckily for them it helps to have supportive family and friends to help them wade through the foolishness. Susan Marlowe was a great narrator too! Overall this was a great listen!

Terrific Beach Read (but with heart)

I really enjoyed how the author used some traditional romantic devices in a fresh way. For example, most of the book takes on a cruise ship which I found fresh and original. I also like that the characters had some depth to them. Shelby was very relatable as a good person, and the problems in the romance felt real and identifiable (even though the hero is a billionaire)! I also thought that the erotic scenes (there are two) were very well done. Perfect escapist reading but with more heart than you usual find.
Also very good job by the narrator, too!

Unexpected vacation!

Should you go on your honeymoon even though you didn't get married? Shelby calls off her wedding to her cheating fiance and decides to take the cruise to get some semblance back in her life. When her ex-fiance shows up with a woman, she does what anyone would do, try to get off the ship. When Ben sees Shelby attempting to jump, he pulls her in and ties her up. Owner of the cruise ship, he's not going to have a crazy woman jump overboard. Little do these two know how this chance meeting will change their lives. K Thomas take us on a fun trip, with beautiful scenery, romance and craziness. Shelby is so easy to relate to. She is hurt, and now is trying to piece back her heart. She is vulnerable and hesitant. Ben is not looking for a relationship and Shelby certainly is not his type, until he can't get her out of his mind. It's a fun filled story with wonderful secondary characters, funny antics, broken hearts, crazy exes and an all out good time. I enjoyed this first book of the series and will definitely be looking for the next adventure!

Susan Marlowe is a seasoned narrator and always entertains me. She gives an amazing performance with these characters. Just the right amount of emotions and her voices are spot on. I loved her interpretation of the book!

The Billionaire's Siren

I enjoyed the story, but honestly had a hard time keeping my mind from wandering. It was well written, just not enough of that "something special" that makes a story really stand out. Overall, the story was 3 stars, and the narrator... Well, I have a particular pet peeve... Narrators that pronounce words like "buttoned" as but-end.

Shelby was too mild and sweet for me. I like my heroines with some spunk and sass, but that would not have fit well with her backstory.

Clay (her ex) was an absolute jerk. Since we don't get to know him until after the breakup, it's hard to imagine he was ever anything BUT an absolute jerk. So, on that note, why was she with him in the first place? Why did he flip so suddenly? What did Shelby ever see in him if he behaved that way? He didn't just wake up as a jerk the day of their wedding. Well, I guess he did as it was written.

And Ben? He meets her and instantly stops being a womanizer? I'm just not buying it. It's too much of an abrupt change in their core personalities.

Again, I enjoyed the story and thought it was well written, so I would certainly encourage others to read it for themselves. What stuck out to me is often entirely different that what others get out of a story.

I received a free copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I have not talked with the author, her representatives or anyone associated with the publishing of this book except to receive the free code.

Fun story

I really enjoyed this book. I struggled a little with the names and conversations at first and during the epilogue but after a while I understood what was happening. I loved the characters. There wasn’t a lot of angst. Some misunderstandings. Great friendships. HEA. Preview of the next book about the best friends. The narration was great. I recommend this book.
