Cute Christmas story

This is a cute, clean, short Christmas story that’s a perfect choice for an enjoyable evening. It’s a feel good, Hallmark type book.

Great listen!

I absolutely loved this book....the author has such a relaxed and easy to read writing style; she is a true story teller. Erin Dameron-Hill does a wonderful job narrating.

Clean romance

The basic plot of this book follows right along the lines of a Hallmark Christmas movie. It is clean and pretty predictable but generally going to be an enjoyable ride.

My favorite part of the story was the proposal scene. Unfortunately that is at the beginning so I just didn't enjoy the rest of it as much. It is an insta-love story and I had a harder time believing that their relationship was based on anything more than attraction yet they are planning to spend their lives together so I was uncomfortable. I'd be very concerned if I were her mother and knew she just came off another relationship. It was all too fast.

I feel like a younger audience would enjoy the book more than I did. (I'm old). I'm always less interested in the kissing scenes than I am in what happens to lead up to the kissing but I think if you enjoy kissing scenes but want to keep it clean then this is probably a good one.

I listened to the audio-book and thought the narrator was good with the female voices but didn't care for the male voice as much. He was supposed to sound sensuous but sometimes it came across as creepy to me. I wonder if I would have liked his character better if I'd read the book myself instead of listening but I have no way of knowing that now. He was nice and generous and playful but also really pushed himself to her even when she repeatedly said she wasn't interested in a relationship. I wanted to like him more than I did.

The book isn't long so it is perfect if you just want an evening escape. Curl up and maybe even switch on a little Christmas music.

Getting into the spirit early!

Things happen for a reason. Reve has not yet realized this and the ending of her current relationship has her doubting her ability to choose her men. It's Christmas, and rather than spend it with her nosy family in India, she opts to break tradition and go to Taos to spend it with her college roommate. When she meets Logan, the attraction is immediate, but erring on the side of caution and not wanting a rebound romance, Reve is hesitant. Will Logan break down her wall? Will she finally get the kiss to end all others? Will Reve realize the reason her other relationships have failed? I love this kind of story. It's a Hallmark movie in my mind, enjoying the characters and the beautiful scenery of New Mexico. Kimberley Montpetit had me laughing through Reve's antics in the restaurant, feeling sad for her predicament and rooting for her and Logan. I had all the feels, enjoyed Christmas in September and the wonderful chance to fall in love.

Erin Dameron-Hill gives a fabulous performance. She brings all the characters to life, and has some stunning accents come through. I enjoyed her pace and voices and look forward to hearing more from her.

this was a cute little holiday story, kinda instalove, but still enjoyable. the narator was good for the general narator and the female parts, the male was okay. I've heard better and worse. it wouldn't keep me from listening to her again though. it would be nice to have an epilogue of down the road, 5 or 10 years. I'd love to see how they made it all work
