The Warp Marines are Back!

Together in one volume, the three novels of the Bicentennial War. Decades after the events of the Warp Marine Corps series, new threats menace humanity. The only thing standing before the invaders and destruction is the U.S. Navy and the Warp Marine Corps.

To the Strongest: The space nomads known as the Horde arrive to the Known Galaxy in unprecedented numbers, aboard massive weaponized asteroids. As the US Navy deals with the unprecedented threat, an elite Marine unit, the Wraiths, joins the fight.

They Shall Not Pass: The Horde is defeated, but a worse enemy follows on its heels - the Nemeses, relentless genocidal aliens with technologies far ahead of the Known Galaxy. As the US Navy tries everything in its arsenal to stop the deadly forces destroying everything in their path, a small team of Wraith Marines and CIA agents search for the person who might hold the key to victory: Colonel Lisbeth Zhang, USWMC.

Victory or Death: The Nemeses continue to advance deeper into American space, killing everything in their path. To oppose them, the US deploys ancient Kraxan weapons that may provide humanity with victory – or spell its damnation. Lisbeth Zhang leads a forlorn hope into the heart of Nemeses territory while CIA agent Heather McClintock and retired Marine Major Peter Fromm search for another possible answer to the alien threat: The Elders of the Galaxy themselves.

The action-packed sequel to the best-selling Warp Marine Corps series contains violence, adult language and adult themes.

I really enjoyed the first collection and also enjoyed this one. However, this last set of books seemed to be missing a lot of material. Not that it was actually missing, it just seemed as though the last couple of books were not fully there. Abridged is the best description that I can give it. It felt like the author had moved on and lost interest in telling the story to the depth that it needed to be told. Instead, the author opted to just hit the high lights and move the story along to it's conclusion. The narration was very good, It is better at 1.2x speed as the narrator is a bit slower in his pacing and it can drag on. (1.2x has nothing to do with the abridged feeling of the overall last two books of the collection.)

Great but Abridged
