Publisher's Summary

One by one, the infamous Gibbons sisters of Chesterton, Virginia, are giving up their gold digging ways - except the eldest, who's holding out for her seven-figure man. But her heart may have less expensive tastes....

Thanks to her cold-hearted ways with men, Cynthia Gibbons doesn't blame the folks in town for calling her the "Ice Queen." They don't know the secret she's kept for 20 years - that she once fell crazy in love with a guy who had no money, a guy who broke her heart in the worst possible way. But now Korey Walker is back in town, and Cynthia isn't sure how much longer she can keep the biggest secret of all - that she still loves him. With a divorce behind him, and his new auto repair shop thriving, Korey is looking to the future...until he sets eyes on Cynthia and the past comes roaring back.

Even now, Korey doesn't understand Cynthia's hostility. After all, she's the one who broke his heart. He decides to ignore her, until he discovers that his teenage son has fallen for Cynthia's daughter. Determined to stop history from repeating itself, Korey and Cynthia will have to band together. But will keeping their kids apart bring them closer, or destroy their lives for good?

loved this book

the narrator is really good her voice is a nice easy flow. the mother, Yalanda, really messed her girl's heads up. it's a good thing they had their own hearts and minds.

The Best She Ever Had....

In my opinion, this book is great if you are a teenager or maximum age 21 and that's is pushing it. The whole mean girl saga. Sisters who were gold diggers and sought after in their town by every boy in middle school, has now carried over into a sense of entitlement, not wisdom in later life, is what a teenager finds appealing In a read, not a mature adult. In addtion, that behavior carried over into their adult life which makes them prestigious in their community to date, weak story line. All being supported by the matriarch. Sad not because it's not possible that people don't grow, but because this is basically what The book was about. The plot and story line is disturbing and frustrating.. The fact that the main character responds, thinks, ,speaks, and behaves like a 12 year old @40 is unbecoming, which tells me this book was not for a mature audience who would expect more intellectual stimulation and require more out of a plot than this book delivers. I am requesting that my credit is returned.

Main character was really unlikeable

I like realistic character, too sweet, too nice makes my eyes roll; however, it was hard to sympathize with the main character. She was horrible. The plot was good, the narrations was okay.

It needs one more book

I hoping there is at least one more book in this series for Yolanda gibbons. This book had some serious curveballs. I enjoyed the whole series. I was heart broken when I heard epilogue.

Loved it!

Another great listen!! I was happy to see all the sister's fate. The Murdocks being mentioned in this series was a nice welcomed surprise too. I would love a novel with the mother as the main character as she mentioned in the end with a school LOL

Ok

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. However, I wish this author didn't use God's name in vain. You don't have to use " GD " to have a great book. I would have given it 5 stars if not for that. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. I liked all the couples and figured out early about the girl being his daughter and his son not being his bio son. I will listen to the other sisters stories when they are put in the romance package or with a free credit.
