Publisher's summary

The international best-selling series with more than five million copies sold in the US alone!

Still far from their homeland after escaping slavery in the icebound land of Skandia, Will and Evanlyn's plans to return to Araluen are spoiled when Evanlyn is taken captive by a Temujai warrior. Though still weakened by the warmweed's toxic effects, Will employs his Ranger training to locate his friend, but an enemy scouting party has him fatally outnumbered.

Will is certain death is close at hand, until Halt and Horace make a daring, last-minute rescue. The reunion is cut short, however, when Halt makes a horrifying discovery: Skandia's borders have been breached by the entire Temujai army. And Araluen is next in their sights.

If two kingdoms are to be saved, an unlikely union must be made. Will it hold long enough to vanquish a ruthless new enemy? Or will past tensions spell doom for all?

The battles and drama are nonstop in audiobook four of this hugely popular epic.

Perfect for fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, T.H. White’s The Sword in the Stone, Christopher Paolini’s Eragon series, and George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones/a Song of Ice and Fire series.

Book 4

The book keeps you wanting more but in a good way. The characters are developing on a great time line. Looking forward to the next book.

Will sounds too young

Honestly the story telling is really well done, all the voices sound accurate, with exception to will… he sounds like he’s 9 years old which was fine in the first couple books but now it sounds very off.

I’d give it 10 if I could

The only way I will listen to these books is that John Keating is the one that reads them. I honestly love the stories and I own all of the physical books, despite being “too old” for these books they are awesome to listen to and I definitely would recommend

I loved this Book

I learned a lot about loyalty, friendship and hardship. I also learned so much about courage, being willing to do hard things and overcome fear. Battle
Strategies and taking the time to prepare for things in our future and how important those strategies are. Thinking before acting and following the plan can change our lives.

good story

I love it! The story gives you just enough information for a cliffhanger. Very well written! Copy and pasted because I can't just leave a 5-star review

a very exciting book and the great addition

this was really an interesting plot and really different I wasn't too sure when we started but it turned out to be really exciting and a wonderful addition to a good series
there's a lot of positiveness that happens people helping people friends standing by friends and it's always good to see that in a book rather than some of the dark things that happened in other books. I look forward to the next book and the narration was well done as usual.
