Wonderful historical fiction! Excellent read! - Diana Gabaldon

Brannan does it again!!

Wonderful story. Julia Brannan is a fabulous writer and an equally fabulous storyteller. I have loved getting to know Alex (& Duncan and Angus etc etc) in his childhood and youth, prior to Mask of Duplicity and The Jacobite Chronicles. Amazing characters and deep emotional engagement. The narrator’s were all top notch. Historical detail was brilliant as always. I am a Julia Brannan devotee. What a talent!

Suspenseful

Not knowing the history of our beloved, Alex, this puts it all in perspective. Brilliantly written and read. Anticipating part 2 coming available on audible .

Well developed characters.

I’ve listened to all of the books in this series and highly recommend them. The characters are well developed and writing makes you feel as though you are there in history. I’m eagerly awaiting part two of this book. I must also say, the narration by Will Watt is excellent. I can’t imagine anyone doing a better job, he’s really talented.

Excellent Historical Fiction

Julia continues her brilliant writing and research with The Baronet’s Tale Anthony I. She gifts her readers with new adventures, as Alex studies abroad and becomes a man. The friends he makes along the way are splendidly written. I always learn so much in reading all of Julia’s books! Looking forward to Anthony II.

Masterpiece

This is another Masterpiece from Julia Brannan! I didn’t want the book to end. The narrators were fantastic, especially Will M. Watt. I can’t wait for the next book.

I love everything except that I have to wait for part 2. best series ever.

A great part of a huge story. Fills in much of Anthony's wonderful story, can't wait for Part 2! As always, the narration is perfect. it is amazing how many distinct voices Will Watt can do

Another incredible gem!!

I LOVE getting this three dimensional view of Alex, and think I’m going to have to reread the series again to truly appreciate the character. 🤓💕 The narration by Will M. Watt and Mary Jane Wells, like always, was incredible. They are hands down the most talented duo. The entire production, and addition of Deanna Anthony, was just chef’s kiss, perfection!

Just like the rest of the book series, this is another wonderful story, and narration.

Love the background story of Alex. The backstory is so important to connecting storylines. Good read.
