Thankfully, the spirit who reincarnated me modified my core with a rune of power. Now, each time I ascend to a higher level, I can add a new rune, enhancing my strength. But this gift was given with a condition; if I don’t climb and conquer the Towers of Acalia, this new world will fall into ruin. Plenty of obstacles stand in my way: raging spirit beasts, tower summoned monsters, rival cultivators. But by bonding myself to gorgeous women warriors, I can ascend and grow strong enough to take on the seven towers. Gods help anyone who stands in my way.

This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Great performance, terrible story
I can't say enough about how well the story is performed.
But also the story itself was so bad it gave me a headache. Almost none of it made sense. It's like the author wrote down a bunch of plot points on small pieces of paper and drew them out of a hat and said OK this is what happens next it doesn't matter if there's a reason for it. it is really sad because I was enjoying the performance so much. and here are some more words because it seems like it won't let me submit without them

Good idea that is poorly executed
As many have stated, the narrator is excellent. No complaints there. The writing is bad. Really bad. I am not saying the author is a bad writer, but this is at best a first draft. I am very appreciative of the fact that the self-publishing boom gives me access to genres and authors who might never have gotten a break otherwise, but this is one of many examples where the product would have benefited immeasurably from an editor's second perspective. There were so many plot threads introduced only to be wrapped up immediately or abandoned without explanation, that I felt like I was hearing the transcript of a tabletop RPG session (a lot of fun to play, but not very interesting to listen to).

Great Story and Amazing Narration!
The story is pretty good. It's original and I cant wait to see where it goes. The only negative thing I have about it is the character building. It's a bit slow on that end. We have to wait a while to figure things out about them. It does add to the story, but in the beginning it's a bit confusing. But I really enjoyed it!
The narration is amazing! Rebecca did a fantastic job as always. The shear amount of voices she can do is incredible! She brings the story to life.
This is a good one. Spend the credit!

A good story
Overall the story is good but might not be what most expect. The story is less in this first book about the over powered MC getting all the babes as you find typical in harem classified works of fiction. It does not come off so much as power fantsy. Instead the story feels more real and organic as the MC starts off more humbly and works their way into abilities, however the big turn from general harem anime is you could not call the MC an alpha male. Given the nature of their story you get the sense of how lost they feel and their reliance on others.
The female characters as well seem well written, with some depth and problems or quirks. They too feel well conceptualized and have personalities that set them apart.
Overall I think its a good start to a series, its not ideal if your looking for a wish fulfillment harem series and the MC will bug you if you are, but its an interesting start with some interesting characters written in a believable way.

Great story and narration!
Waking up in the middle of the forest with no memories, our MC goes looking for help and stumbles into a goblin camp. He quickly finds himself trust up and about to go into the dinner pot, before a beautiful rescuer comes to his aid. He will have to learn fast and quickly adapt to survive in this difficult and magical world.
Rebecca does a wonderful job with the narration!
This book was fantastic from beginning to end!

I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for more! The main character is truly likeable and goes through a lot of personal growth. The other prominent characters are amazingly written as well. Rebecca woods rocked this book, really bringing to life the book in a way only a truly greater narrator can. Give this book a chance and you won’t regret it!

Really good.
I liked this book a great deal. I like a lot of harem novels it’s not got repetitive sex scenes that become more of a distraction. This book is story orientated and holds up.
I like Rebecca woods. I think she’s great but she normally duel narrates with others. However I actually really enjoyed this narration even more. She does a phenomenal job by herself and arguably I enjoyed this book even more due to her good work.

excellent narration of a story with ups and downs
Rebecca brings this world to life with he broad range and enthusiastic style. the world Ajax has penned is interesting and myserious, the plot fairly barrels along as we meet a vast cast of characters.
the MC (tempest) is a rather naive individual, understandably. however he sometimes comes across as too passive or naive and the action isnt always paced that well as the narrativr pivots according to fairly big plot points.
however it all gels together well and ends with some major plot hooks for the sequels, as well as a well done slow burn romance. not Harem yet but give it time!

A fantasy goldmine!
discovered this narrator and author by chance and what a find! The story is great, like some odd lovechild of fantasty/dungeon and dragons group adventure and harem erotica all wrapped up in a tasteful and fun bow. The burn is slow but I enjoy the work put into the story itself so for me it was no problem. Highly recommended!
